Job Title: Junior Product Owner
As a Junior Product Owner for the Marketing Data Platform, you will begin your journey in Sanofi's digital transformation. This foundational role within our digital portfolio will give you exposure to the systems that enable global execution of our Marketing Suite, allowing us to engage customers and patients through digital channels. You will support the development of Sanofi's digital omnichannel strategy, working in a collaborative environment that encourages learning and growth. Your developing expertise will contribute to leveraging data-driven insights to enhance our marketing effectiveness and ultimately improve patient outcomes worldwide.

In this role, you will support the platform data product team, assisting with feature deployments for Accelerator Experience Streams and Sanofi brands across various regions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Learning and applying data management best practices under guidance
- Supporting communication strategies within the team and across departments
- Helping capture and document requested data advancements
- Assisting in optimizing data processes and pipelines to enhance efficiency
- Contributing to improvements that support Sanofi's global “Take the Lead” digital strategies
As the Junior Product Owner, you'll work closely with senior team members and internal marketing teams to understand their data needs and challenges. Your growing insights will contribute to optimizing how these teams leverage data to achieve Sanofi's ‘Take the Lead’ strategies. This collaborative role focuses on developing technical knowledge, foundational product management skills, and building relationships to support the Marketing Data Platform's evolution.
You as Junior Product Owner
You will work under guidance to support this digital product, learning to contribute to product strategy, assist with product roadmap planning, support product delivery with the delivery team, and help measure business impact. Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Support the team and contribute fresh perspectives on what is possible
- Assist in managing the marketing data platform product from a "What", "Why" and "When" perspective
- Help document and communicate product roadmap elements aligned with business objectives
- Participate in ideation/discovery meetings to learn how end users can adopt a data-centric approach and understand what data and/or AI solutions can deliver
- Develop understanding of the purpose of collecting, processing and serving data while learning about potential limitations and different strategies for reporting, decision-making, and process automation
- Support the transfer of outcomes from discovery, working with senior team members to help bridge the gap between technical complexities and business requirements
- Learn and apply data governance framework and data management rules, including ethical regulations, GDPR and privacy rules in the data domain
- Learn and stay informed about industry trends and best practices related to commercial data
- Support cross-functional work with business areas, partnerships, and stakeholders in commercial, research, technology, operations, and marketing departments
- Contribute to delivering incremental value every sprint
- Assist with backlog management and prioritization of work
- Work with Scrum Master and delivery team members, learning to answer questions and address ambiguities
- Help ensure appropriate user-oriented documentation for data understanding (data dictionary, source to destination mapping, etc.)
- Support alignment with Sanofi's data standards and application of Sanofi Responsible AI framework (RAISE) with guidance from tech leads
Skills and Capabilities
- Learning to present and communicate the vision of the platform data product
- Supporting the establishment and tracking of KPIs to help achieve targeted outcomes
- Beginning to apply data governance and data management best practices (data quality, data security, data stewardship)
- Contributing to platform scalability and availability considerations in a cost-efficient manner
- Learning about data monitoring and logging (to identify issues, track performance and troubleshoot)
- Understanding Data activation (making data available for end-users with transparency and ease of use)
- Supporting the deployment and utilization of data product features to Accelerator experience stream stakeholders
- Assisting with engagement models and coordination with deployment COE for best practices and feature training
- Developing problem-solving skills and learning to overcome roadblocks in a complex environment
- Learning to manage expectations of end users, especially for AI solutions where exploration and experimentation are necessary
- Building communication skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree
- 1-3 years of experience working with business units or supporting system/product rollouts
- 1-2 years of experience with digital products or data-related projects
- Ability to work in a global environment and build relationships across different regions
- Basic knowledge of Lean & Agile practices, with willingness to learn UX/UI and Application Design principles
Functional Knowledge / Skills in the following areas:
- Some exposure to data platforms, marketing data, or customer data systems (CDP/DMP software, databases, data pipeline solutions)
- Basic understanding of Agile methodology and familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence
- Ability to write clear user stories and document basic user journeys
- Interest in analytics and machine learning solutions with willingness to learn
- Basic understanding of how commercial and digital marketing data creates business value
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interest in hands-on learning and development
- Developing conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills
- Any experience with data tools (Twilio Segment, Informatica, AWS solutions) is a plus
