1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Formulate ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Formulate is a pharma and biotech career intelligence platform that aggregates job listings from publicly available company career pages and applicant tracking systems, and cross-references them with drug product, clinical trial, patent, and regulatory data from public government sources. We provide job search, drug intelligence, company profiles, career advising, community features (interview reports, compensation data, warm introductions), paid subscription tiers, and email alert features.

3. Job Listings

  • Job listings are sourced from public career pages and may not always be current or accurate.
  • Formulate does not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or completeness of any job listing.
  • Clicking "Apply" redirects you to the employer's application page. Formulate is not involved in the hiring process.
  • Formulate does not endorse any employer or position listed on the platform.

4. Company Information

Company profiles, pipeline data, and financial information are sourced from public data including ClinicalTrials.gov, SEC EDGAR, and company websites. This information is provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon for investment or employment decisions.

4a. Automated Scores and Ratings

Formulate displays automated scores including Company Health Score, Competitive Pressure Score, and salary estimates. These scores are generated algorithmically from publicly available data and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. They do not reflect insider knowledge, proprietary data, or expert opinion.

  • Company Health Score is derived from pipeline stage, hiring velocity, patent expiry risk, and SEC revenue data. It is not a credit rating, investment recommendation, or assessment of a company's suitability as an employer.
  • Competitive Pressure Score is derived from Medicare Part D spending, patent expiry proximity, and competitor count. Year-over-year changes may not be available for all products.
  • Salary Estimates are derived from BLS industry benchmarks with pharma-specific adjustments. They are not employer-provided and may differ significantly from actual compensation.

You should not make investment, employment, or business decisions based solely on these scores. Formulate expressly disclaims liability for decisions made in reliance on automated scores.

4b. Data Sources and Accuracy Disclaimer

Formulate aggregates data from public sources including the FDA (Drugs@FDA, FAERS, DailyMed, Orange Book), ClinicalTrials.gov, SEC EDGAR, CMS (Medicare Part D), RxNorm, BLS, and employer career pages. While we strive for accuracy, all information should be independently verified before making career, medical, investment, or business decisions. Formulate is not a medical, legal, financial, or career advice service. Adverse event data (FAERS) does not establish causation and should not be used for clinical or treatment decisions.

4c. Community Contributions

Users may contribute interview reports, compensation data, and discussion posts. Community contributions are user-generated and are not verified by Formulate unless explicitly stated. You agree not to submit false, misleading, or defamatory content, and not to include protected health information about yourself or others. Formulate reserves the right to moderate, edit, or remove community content at its discretion. Contributions may be anonymized and retained for community value even after account deletion, unless you specifically request complete removal.

4d. Paid Subscriptions

Formulate offers paid subscription tiers ("Pro") with additional features. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe and are subject to Stripe's terms of service. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Refunds are available within 30 days of initial purchase. Promotional access (founder invites, earned Pro days from contributions) is subject to the terms communicated at the time of the offer.

5. Job Alerts

  • Job alert subscriptions require a valid email address.
  • You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any alert email.
  • We do not guarantee delivery of all matching job alerts.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content from Formulate without permission
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

7. Intellectual Property

The Formulate name, logo, and original content are our property. Job listing content belongs to the respective employers. Pipeline and financial data is sourced from public government databases.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT JOB LISTINGS WILL BE ACCURATE OR CURRENT.

9. Limitation of Liability

Formulate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to reliance on job listing information or company data.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
