Job Description
Global Pricing & Analytics Director
We are pleased to share that Gilead’s Stockley Park and Holborn offices are planning to come together at a new London headquarters at 1 Triton Square, NW1, from approximately Q2 2027. Applicants should consider this planned location change when applying for this role. Gilead operates a flexible working policy, offering a balanced approach with two days of remote working and three days working onsite
This role will lead pricing as well as reporting and analytics for the whole Gilead portfolio for a broad range of markets across different regions. The selected candidate will be responsible for assuring the implementation of Global Price Governance (as well as pricing strategies) for all markets and products in scope. Additionally, the selected candidate will lead workstreams linked the enhancement of functionalities and/or capabilities of PriceRight, Gilead’s Global Price Management System; this will include design, testing, implementation, and training, in partnership with other members of the Global Pricing & Analytics (GP&A) and IT. This role works closely with internal stakeholders across GP&A, Global Value & Access (GV&A), Local Value & Access, Region Leadership Teams, Global Strategic Marketing (GSM), Finance, Global Competition Law (GCL), IT, Global Decision Sciences & Insights (GDSI), and other relevant internal and third party/external partners.
The role will report to the Senior Director, Analytics & Established Products Pricing Team Lead within the Global Value & Access department.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Operational Pricing
Responsible for monitoring and tracking prices and price policy trends for markets in scope.
Triage pricing proposals for products + markets in scope (including price proposal for Established Products for a sub-set of Core9 Markets) leveraging 3 main levers: 1) Global Pricing Policies, 2) above-brand criteria, and 3) recently launched Enterprise Guardrails.
Support Local V&A teams in the preparation and endorsement of their pricing business cases; enable timely and thorough decision-making by the Global Pricing Committee (GPC), GP&A and/or Regional Commercial leads by collating the inputs from cross-functional advisors as per GPG.
As required, support the GP&A team to escalate price proposals for GPC decision-making; this includes coordination between GV&A, GSM, Country GMs, and Regional Commercial Leads of proposal endorsement for an aligned and informed decision by the GPC.
Enhance the use of data received from local V&A in PriceRight (Horizon Scanning, Price Verification & LE Net Price Assumptions) to strengthen the partnership Regional Leadership Teams and streamline the GPG process
Support Local and Global V&A with pricing operations i.e., price certifications, price evolution analysis, brand/indication-specific pricing implications, pricing policy and landscape changes, etc.
As needed, lead specific TA pricing stretch projects or assignments especially when related to analytics within the markets in scope. Immediate focus on the change management required for adoption of any changes to the GPG process linked to the evolving macroeconomic environment and/or IRP dynamics.
Support the enhancement of PriceRight functionalities/capabilities to achieve the system’s on-going roadmap. Core focus in 2026 is the preparation and change management associated to the new interface to be deployed for all users in Q4 2026.
As required, support the enhancement of PriceRight functionalities/capabilities, including design, testing, implementation, and training. These tasks will be done in partnership with other members of the GP&A team as well as with IT and external vendors.
Pricing Analytics
Track and assess implications from major changes to pricing regulations and mechanisms worldwide (i.e. health reform, changes in pricing regulations) into markets in scope and vice versa.
Develop price modelling – e.g., international referencing impact on prices and revenues to support strategic pricing considerations, mitigation strategies, retrospective case reviews, price/volume trade offs, country supply, and policy impacts to inform key business decisions. Support development of brand/indication P&R regulatory sequence/launch sequence, and pricing strategy optimization across product lifecycle.
Support PriceRight Reporting & Analytics workstream to employ advanced analytical BI tools (e.g., data parsing, blending, manipulation through to data visualization) to streamline, automate, and build pricing analytics capabilities that assist local markets on GTN management and provide global stakeholders with relevant, quality and timely analysis for decision making.
Act as subject matter expert to provide price intel leveraging available 3rd party secondary data resources i.e., NAVLIN, MIDAS, DRG, SSR, Analysource, and internal finance data to create pricing analogues analysis, competitive pricing reports, and ad-hoc analysis for Business Development opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (required)
Master’s Degree in Finance, Actuarial Sciences, Statistics, Health Economics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Health Policy, or any other related quantitative field (desirable)
Understanding of pricing, access, health economics and commercialization strategy (required)
General understanding of value-based pricing story needs, gaps and requirements to suit market / payer requirements in the markets in scope (preferred)
Knowledgeable about payer systems & market archetypes, including expertise in local pricing setting mechanism and market dynamics for countries in scope (desirable).
Ability to communicate financial impact of pricing initiatives on overall business objectives (required)
Knowledge and hands-on experience in the following aspects (required):
Designing or implementing pricing strategies at country level
Financial planning, forecasting or demand planning
Pricing, financial or statistical analytics
Ability to synthetize, critically analyze, efficiently communicate large volume of information, identify risks and develop recommendations (required)
Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills and strong Excel skills (required)
Experience interacting with third party data tools like NAVLIN, MIDAS, and DRG (highly desirable)
Knowledge of health care systems and pricing regulations for the markets in scope (highly desirable)
Ability to consistently provide clear and concise written and verbal communication; excellent presentation skills, excellent English communication skills both oral and written (required)
Strategic data and analytical skills - including expert level Excel and data parsing, transformation, enrichment (Alteryx) and BI (e.g., Tableau, Microsoft Power BI) tools - to digest and interpret multiple complex data sources and draw insights to inform pricing strategy (preferred)
