Job Description
 

The Associate Director of DTP (Direct-to-Patient) Marketing will be responsible for supporting Sales and Marketing efforts by driving promotions excellence for EPCLUSA and its Authorized Generic.  This role includes assisting with the development and implementation of promotional campaigns and educational activities for people diagnosed but untreated with HCV. The role will report directly to the Senior Director, HCV Marketing.

As an Associate Director of DTP (Direct-to-Patient) Marketing, at Gilead you will:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead patient execution in the US and assists in the development of the HCV strategy.

• Develop and execute DTP focused tactical initiatives including but not limited to websites, social media, digital/print media initiatives, SEO/SEM while optimizing execution for success of the brand.

• Lead evolution of Epclusa patient marketing assets in line with current market insights.

• Initiate market research as needed to support patient strategy and tactical execution.

• Leverage multiple data sources including but not limited to field force inputs, industry reports, and media consumption trends to uncover emerging needs, opportunities, and innovative approaches to engage audience segments.

• Effectively manages multiple agency partners to produce deliverables on strategy, within timelines, on budget, and measures outcomes.

• Closely manages media budget targets for assigned programs.

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of current initiatives to determine optimal resource allocation and continuous improvement of campaigns.

• Gain approval for marketing materials through internal review process including management reviews and Med-Legal-Reg. Secures final production.

• Work well cross-functionally with Digital Strategy and Operations, Sales, Legal, Regulatory, Medical, Market Research, Market Analytics and Managed Markets and other key internal stakeholders.

• Demonstrates broad and in-depth knowledge of marketing mix and leverages this to guide integrated execution and measurement of overall plan.

• Execute tactics according to strategy and demonstrates command of traditional and non-traditional marketing channels. Tactics may include; advertising (print, digital, social, out of home, TV/video, and point of care), websites, medical office literature, starter kits, slide decks, email, apps, etc.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and Ten Years’ Experience

OR

Masters' Degree and Eight Years’ Experience

OR

Ph.D. and Two Years’ Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Eight+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience; 3+ years of promo experience is preferred.

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Graduate degree (preferred)

• Demonstrated excellence in project management including planning, prioritization, execution, analytical assessment and performance management.

• Ability to analyze customer insights; understands market dynamics and connect tactics with customer engagement objectives.

• Strong experience with media strategy and planning.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to coordinate and lead strategic partners, key stakeholders, and internal teams for strong collaboration & teamwork.

• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to generate appropriate digital metrics, assess ROI on spends and adeptly manage complex budgets.

• Understanding of the US payer landscape and healthcare policy.

• Excellent communications skills with an ability to effectively communicate both orally and written.

• Understanding of biopharmaceutical regulatory requirements.

• US marketing experience in a competitive and dynamic market space.

• The successful candidate will be highly collaborative, coachable, perceptive and an analytical problem solver with a track record of success in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.

• The candidate will be comfortable making decisions in ambiguous situations, is a team player, inclusive, and manifests trust. 

• Successful candidate will put patients first and have a passion for science.

The salary range for this position is: $195,670.00 - $253,220.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
