Your Impact
 The Vertex G&A Treasury Applications co-op program is a 6-month experiential training program for students currently working towards an undergraduate or advanced degree. If you are passionate, collaborative, and growth-minded, a co-op at Vertex will help you gain meaningful experience in our DTE functional areas and serve as a launchpad for your career.

What you will be doing:

The G&A (General & Administrative) Treasury Applications Fall Co-op position offers an exciting opportunity for students to be a supportive member of Vertex’s DTE G&A team as well as the Treasury team within the finance organization.  The co-op will gain hands-on experience in supporting and enhancing technology solutions for treasury applications as well as exposure to treasury strategy, decision-making, and project management. As a Co-op, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to consolidate and analyze data, determine risks and opportunities, and propose solutions to optimize treasury and related project operations.

Potential Assignments:

• Support and/or monitor tasks around new module implementation and testing (new TMS system).
• Support audit for financial systems under manager responsibility.
• Understand, Analyze, and identify opportunities to automate or optimize core treasury operations and functions.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunity points for partnership. 

What you will need to succeed:

• Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
• This position is ideal for students with an interest in data management and storytelling, information systems, finance, automation, and/or process optimization. It provides hands-on experience with industry leading technology and methodologies, preparing candidates to launch careers with a balanced set of technical and soft skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States, now and in the future. Please note that Vertex does not provide sponsorship for internships or entry level roles within this part of the organization.
• You must be enrolled in an advanced degree program if graduating before December 2026
• You must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week from July – December 2026

Program Details:

• Full-time, paid co-op $20.00 – 32.00 USD/hour
• Program Dates: July – December 2026

1.    Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week; or select
