The role directly reports to Türkiye Country Medical Sr. Director and partners with Türkiye (TR) Medical Affairs Leadership Team (LT) to deliver high-quality operational support and solutions that enhance the strategic impact of Medical Affairs across the country. This position is instrumental in driving Our Collective Advantage by fostering collaboration, efficiency, and innovation in medical operations.
Türkiye Medical Operations and Excellence Sr. Manager will provide operational support to the CMAO and partner with the TR Medical Affairs Leadership Team (LT) to ensure efficient functioning of the TR Medical Affairs organization and drive its strategic direction.
Support effective governance processes/meetings, including TR Medical Affairs LT and other medical governance committees, as well as other cross‑functional committees.
Responsible for end‑to‑end fit‑for‑purpose governance planning and execution.
Provide thought partnership to Country Medical Director and TR Medical Affairs LT on key issues and topics.
Help address and coordinate resolution of requests from various stakeholders.
Work and align with key internal stakeholders to ensure consistency.
Support TR Medical Affairs coordination efforts with other categories for operational excellence.
Lead efforts in partnership with Türkiye Country Medical Director for TR Medical Affairs regional plan development and future TR Medical Affairs Vision, Strategy & Goals.
Lead and/or provide strategic direction for project teams / LT / TR Medical Affairs for critical initiatives.
Define project scope, set strategic goals/objectives, and develop project execution plans with clearly defined milestones and metrics.
Drive change and transformations, working collaboratively with TR Medical Affairs colleagues, cross‑functional category and other stakeholders, as well as senior leaders, to deliver actionable solutions to resolve complex challenges.
Effectively facilitate and influence complex and strategic conversations.
This role will guide the TR Medical Affairs organization to provide robust operational support for ensuring compliant and efficient functioning.
Operational and budgetary support for TR Medical Affairs organization, leading the annual Operating Plan for TR, working closely with TR Medical Lead, TR Medical Affairs Country Director, TR Finance, Commercial, PHI, and other stakeholders.
Lead development of Operating Plan communication for TR Medical Affairs LT.
Ensure timely contracting and meeting all financial spending targets related to medical activities and projects.
Lead resource forecasting and tracking to ensure spending is aligned with budget targets.
Lead efforts for development of TR Medical Affairs‑specific, transparent budget/resource planning and allocation algorithms/models, as well as managing resource planning, allocation, and staffing.
Lead planning and coordination of offshore resources, as needed.
This role will represent Medical Platforms and partner with the TR Country Medical Director and TR Medical Affairs LT to drive implementation of new ways of working.
Lead communication of new ways of working on behalf of Medical Platforms for the TR Medical Affairs Organization, in close collaboration with related partners.
Drive implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the TR Medical Affairs new operating model on behalf of Medical Platforms.
Ensure communication between platforms and EM CMAO Operational and Change Excellence Lead, enabling best practices in TR.
Communicate updates to target operating model to TR Medical Affairs Organization.
Respond to inquiries from TR Medical Affairs Organization on Global platform services, new ways of working, and change management efforts (e.g., Medical Evidence Development (MED) team).
Ensure that RWE projects are aligned with the new system and progressing ontrack.
Verify that omnichannel engagements, digital tools, and AI capabilities are seamlessly integrated into daily operations within the TR Medical Affairs team.
Act as a champion for AI‑driven project implementation across TR by aligning stakeholders and ensuring successful integration of AI solutions into medical affairs projects.
Drive alignment across TR on both in‑person and omnichannel engagement to enable effective and unified planning.
Monitor and analyze omnichannel and in‑person engagement metrics to evaluate performance, optimize stakeholder experience, and support data‑driven decision‑making for TR.
Identify and share best practices across TR to foster continuous improvement.
Medical Doctor or Pharmacist with Ph.D.*
Pharmaceutical industry - at least 4 years of experience in global pharmaceutical companies
Good knowledge of the national healthcare and medicine funding/reimbursement systems
Knowledge of health economics, pharmacovigilance and regulatory affairs
Experience in RWD/RWE generation in healthcare
Ability to collaborate effectively across Medical (Customer Facing and HQ), Field Medical Excellence, Compliance, Medical Information, Corporate Communications, Digital, BOPs, Commercial, MQG, and Global/Regional partners
Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English
Proven track record of delivering strategically important projects on time and within budget
Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and CoPilot and other AI agents.
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse experiences and capabilities, including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes, and create business impact.
Prior experience in Project Management, Business/Medical Operations preferred
Strong understanding and application of Project Management methodologies
Ability to work independently with flexibility and organizational awareness
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to foster productive relationships across functions and geographies
Decisive with sound judgment and strong prioritization skills
Ability to manage resources, programs, and multiple projects simultaneously
