The Opportunity

Abbott Malaysia is seeking a Supply Chain & Logistics, Director to provide strategic and operational leadership across end-to-end supply chain operations. This role is critical in delivering competitive, reliable, and sustainable customer service performance while supporting both short-term business objectives and long-term growth.

You will lead a high-performing supply chain organization and partner closely with commercial, regional, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure robust planning, execution, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

Strategic & S&OP Leadership

• Provide relevant ownership & leadership in the Demand & S&OP process, ensuring strong governance, discipline, and alignment with regional frameworks. 

Supply Planning & Operations

• Develop and execute inventory strategies that balance service levels with working capital efficiency

• Oversee supply planning for imported finished goods and co-packing operations

• Provide mid- to long-term supply insights to support business decision-making

Customer Service, Warehousing & Distribution

• Build a competitive customer service strategy aligned with global and area direction

• Establish strong partnerships with logistics providers and customer supply chain teams

• Optimize warehousing, distribution, and logistics cost-to-serve

• Lead logistics supplier negotiations and contract finalization

Business Excellence & Cost Leadership

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Abbott Business Excellence standards

• Lead KPI performance management with clear insights and action plans

• Champion digitalization, technology adoption, and data-driven decision-making

• Execute cost optimization strategies to support margin improvement

Talent & Leadership Development

• Develop strong functional and leadership capabilities within the supply chain team

• Foster a customer-centric, high-performance culture

• Build succession pipelines for critical roles

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related discipline (advanced degree preferred)

• 10+ years of experience in supply chain or related fields, including senior leadership and people management

• Strong strategic thinking, change leadership, and project management capabilities

• Proven ability to operate effectively in dynamic, fast-changing environments

• Excellent analytical, influencing, and decision-making skills

• Strong written and verbal English; proficiency in local language preferred
