The Marmon Group LLC
As a part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings—which is backed by Berkshire Hathaway—you’ll be doing things that matter, leading at every level, and winning a better way. We’re committed to making a positive impact on the world, providing you with diverse learning and working opportunities, and fostering a culture where everyone’s empowered to be their best.
The Global Treasury Supervisor plays a pivotal leadership role within Marmon’s global corporate treasury organization, serving as a bridge between hands-on treasury execution and senior-level oversight. This role represents a deliberate progression from an individual contributor analyst position into a supervisory and ownership-oriented role with meaningful influence over treasury operations, controls, and process direction.
Reporting to the Director of Global Treasury, the role is accountable for reviewing, approving, and overseeing key treasury activities across cash management, liquidity forecasting, banking administration, intercompany funding, and treasury systems. In addition to operational oversight, the role provides people leadership, subject matter expertise, and thought leadership, while contributing to the ongoing evolution of Marmon’s treasury strategy, operating model, and control environment.
This position is designed for a high potential treasury professional ready to expand beyond execution into decision support, coaching, escalation management, and continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Treasury Strategy, Insights & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the development and execution of Marmon’s global treasury strategy through operational insight, data‑driven analysis, and informed recommendations
- Participate in periodic preferred‑bank assessments using a balanced scorecard framework (e.g., service quality, geographic coverage, risk, pricing, technology, relationship strength)
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and scalability; lead or support implementation efforts aligned with best‑practice treasury operating models
- Interpret treasury policies and guidelines, manage exceptions, and provide guidance to internal stakeholders as business needs evolve
Supervisory & Leadership Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance oversight for junior treasury staff, with accountability for work quality, timeliness, and compliance
- Review and approve team work product, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to policy, controls, and procedures
- Serve as a technical mentor and escalation point, reinforcing sound judgment, risk awareness, and continuous learning
- Support onboarding, training, and professional development of treasury staff, helping build a sustainable talent pipeline within the function
- Establish and communicate clear expectations, priorities, and operating standards for day‑to‑day treasury activities
- Demonstrate thought leadership by proactively identifying risks, improvement opportunities, and emerging best practices relevant to the organization
Treasury Operations Oversight & Review
- Provide day‑to‑day oversight of global cash positioning and short‑term liquidity forecasting activities across multiple legal entities and geographies, ensuring accuracy, reasonableness, and alignment with liquidity objectives
- Review and approve cash movements, payment releases, and funding transactions within delegated authority, serving as an escalation point for exceptions and judgment‑based decisions
- Maintain ownership of daily liquidity visibility, including review of variance analysis, trend identification, and communication of risks or constraints to treasury leadership
- Oversee execution of limited short‑term investment activities (primarily U.S. Treasury bills) in accordance with approved policies and risk tolerances
- Support annual and ad hoc cash repatriation activities (e.g., dividends), coordinating with tax, legal, and regional finance teams to ensure compliant and efficient execution
(Note: Direct execution may still occur selectively, but primary accountability is for review, approval, and control rather than transaction processing.)
Banking Administration & Controls
- Oversee global bank account administration, including account openings/closures, documentation, signatory management, and rationalization initiatives
- Own administration and governance of banking user access and entitlements, ensuring segregation of duties, adherence to internal controls, and audit readiness
- Monitor bank fees, service levels, and utilization; review analyses and support recommendations for cost optimization and service improvements
- Serve as an escalation and coordination point for operational banking issues across regions and business unit
Treasury Systems & Process Ownership
- Act as a functional owner and subject‑matter expert for the Kyriba Treasury Management System (TMS), ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, and effective use of system controls
- Review system outputs, reconciliations, and exception reporting; ensure issues are investigated, resolved, and documented appropriately
- Partner with the Global Treasury Director on treasury system enhancements, automation initiatives, and process redesign efforts
- Champion standardization of treasury processes and controls across entities, balancing efficiency with appropriate risk discipline
Stakeholder Engagement & Visibility
- Interact regularly with senior finance leadership, controllers, tax, accounting, and business unit finance teams
- Represent treasury operations in cross‑functional discussions, audits, and system or process initiatives
- Communicate effectively across geographies and organizational levels, translating treasury concepts into clear, actionable insights for non‑treasury stakeholders
