Student Assistant for Group Accounting and Reporting

As a Student Assistant, you will work closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider organization. You will have the opportunity to develop your accounting and collaboration skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

You will become part of the Group Accounting and Reporting team, which is responsible for the Ascendis Group’s external financial reporting, internal controls, and group controlling.

The team consists of six employees and is characterized by strong professional expertise, a collaborative team spirit, and a supportive working environment.

You will report to Jacob Herum Nielsen, Senior Manager, Group Accounting and Reporting, based in Hellerup.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare templates and documentation for financial reporting
• Improve and automate documentation
• Support the maintenance of internal processes and control programs
• Assist with coordinating and planning team activities
• Assist with audit coordination and planning
• Perform other related tasks within Group Accounting and Reporting

Your Profile

Ideally, you have started studies in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.

You are highly motivated, enjoy being challenged, and thrive in a collaborative environment. You work in a structured manner, follow through on commitments, and complete tasks reliably.

Furthermore, you have:

• A flair for numbers and a structured approach
• An interest in, or experience with, work related AI tools
• An interest in, or experience with, financial statements and external reporting frameworks, including IFRS, Danish GAAP, and SEC reporting
• Strong attention to details and a high level of reliability
• Strong work ethic
• Willingness to learn

Experience with financial reporting systems is considered an advantage.

You are also proficient in written and spoken English.

Working hours: The expected workload is 10–15 hours per week. Working hours may vary, particularly during quarterly closing periods.

Place of work: Ascendis Pharma’s headquarters in Tuborg Havn, Hellerup.
