Job Summary

Job Title:                        Director of Access, International

The Director of Access, International is a key leadership role within the International Value & Access organisation, responsible for shaping and executing reimbursement, coverage and market access strategies across international markets. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that people living with diabetes have timely and sustainable access to Insulet's portfolio of innovative technologies.

Working closely with the Director of Value, Director of Policy and Public Affairs and country market access leaders, and cross-functional partners, the Director of Access  will lead the development and execution of access strategies that optimise reimbursement, protect and enhance value, and accelerate adoption across both existing and future product portfolios.

As a recognised reimbursement and payer expert, the Director of Access International will influence strategic decisions across the business while building market access capabilities, driving excellence and establishing Insulet as a trusted partner to payers and healthcare systems.

Responsibilities 

• Deep understanding of reimbursement policy and regulations across multiple markets and able to translate those into requirements for launch and ongoing market access

• Develop and lead reimbursement and market access strategies across international markets aligned with International and Global business priorities. 

• Partner with country teams to co-create ambitious, evidence-based access plans that maximise patient access, reimbursement uptake and long-term value. 

• Provide strategic leadership on reimbursement trends, payer dynamics and policy developments to inform business planning and market priorities. 

• Serve as a trusted advisor to country leadership teams on access challenges, opportunities and strategic trade-offs.

• Lead reimbursement planning and execution for new product launches, lifecycle extensions and market expansion initiatives. 
• Ensure launch readiness from a reimbursement perspective by identifying and proactively addressing market-specific requirements.

• Maintain oversight of key access milestones, risks and opportunities across international markets.
• Influence evidence strategies to protect pricing, strengthen reimbursement positions and support broader market adoption. 
• Lead the generation and dissemination of reimbursement and payer insights across international markets. 

Required Skills and Competencies 

• Deep expertise in reimbursement, payer policy and market access strategy across multiple international healthcare systems. 

• Demonstrated success securing reimbursement and expanding patient access in complex payer environments. 

• Strong understanding of health economics, value communication and evidence generation. 

• Exceptional communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills. 

• Ability to synthesise complex information and translate it into clear strategic recommendations. 

• Experience leading reimbursement submissions, tenders and payer engagement strategies. 
• Ability to develop tools, frameworks and resources that enable market access success. 

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and extensive experience in pharmaceutical and/ or medical device sales (preferably with diabetes products) and 3rd party reimbursement procedures and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Experience working with national, regional and private payer organisations across multiple markets including EU5

• Related business experience working with managed markets, national and regional, public and private payers.

• Experience calling on and developing relationships with key contacts in managed markets and third-party payers.

Additional Information

• This role can be hybrid from our either London, Frankfurt, Utrecht or Paris offices.
• Travel is estimated at 30% but will flex depending on business need.
