Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented senior finance analyst to join our finance team in the registries line of business. This role will support strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across the organization. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with business acumen to drive insights and support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to senior leadership of the Real World Evidence group within PASD/CRG
- Partner with the Finance and Operations leaders to understand key drivers of performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and variance analyses
- Assist in building and maintaining financial models to support strategic initiatives
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting
- Contribute to continuous improvement of FP&A processes and tools
- Support the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
- 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Strong analytical and data gathering skills. Attention to detail and consistently delivering high quality, accurate work
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and tight time demands
- Excellent skills with MS Excel are required;
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, HFM/CMR, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) are preferred
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong team building skills and the shown ability to work with a diverse group of people even if geographically dispersed
- Self-motivated, higher level of flexibility and strong work ethic with the goal to get the job done
- Continuous Improvement approach: Identify process and control gaps and champion improvement initiatives through Practical Process Improvement (PPI)
- Exhibit leadership, initiative, and the Thermo Fisher Scientific 4-I values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement.
Travel requirements:
- Less than 10% domestic/international travel required
