JOB PURPOSE:

This role is accountable for the strategic oversight, governance, and continuous improvement of all AI agent activity within FRMC. The role ensures that AI outputs, agent design, and business processes are aligned with approved risk and control frameworks, the MCF and FRMC standards. This role is a key influencer for use of AI by all FRMC personnel and key Finance leaders (VPs, directors..) that use FRMC AI tools.

KEY ACTIVITIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures risk and control frameworks, risk and control matrices, master control and testing frameworks are applied appropriately and in line with best practice and are Up To Date across AI tools used by finance teams focused on risk and controls

  • Accountable to set up  and maintain the appropriate governance framework for AI agents including creation of Key risk indicators, key performance indicators, and monitoring tools/frameworks

  • Identifies opportunities and implementation of a portfolio of projects/ new use cases of AI in management of  risk and controls in finance processes

  • Leads and oversees the AI FRMC business team and coordinates with the Data Analytics and AI tech teams to ensure all AI tools are meeting requirements, delivering to the quality and speed expected

  • Accountable for the ongoing governance and compliance to external frameworks for Finance risk and controls through AI

  • Partners with FRMC and Finance leaders (VP, Senior director and lower levels) to prioritise requirements and ensure agents provide services meeting their requirements - 

  • Drive and manage continuous improvement of AI governance models, escalation procedures, to MCF, risk and control matrices  and other frameworks, incorporating lessons learned and anticipating emerging risks. 

  • Problem solves challenges in AI performance to provide guidance to direct reports and take decisions on escalated or complex issues related to AI agents’ behaviour, content, or outputs, maintaining adherence to risk and control requirements

  • Provides assurance and evidence to external auditors for Sarbanes Oxley reliance

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Relevant degree level qualification or other formal education in relevant economic, business, organisational or another field.

15+ years of experience in finance, risk management, controls, or governance with demonstrable leadership of strategic initiatives, or risk oversight functions.

Experience should include defining and enforcing risk and control frameworks and overseeing digital or AI-enabled process initiatives.

Interest in the technical solutions for risk and controls management

o  Professional finance qualification  with audit experience(e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA, CIA) OR

o AI qualification

o  Possible licenses: Includes: such as Microsoft Certified: Agentic AI Business Solutions Architect (AB00).Microsoft Certified: AI Business Professional., Certified AI Governance Professional (AIGP)
