Financial Controller

GSK is seeking a highly qualified Financial Controller to join our Close & Control Team, supporting the commercial team. This role offers an opportunity to ensure the integrity of financial reporting for a key European entity, while gaining exposure to global finance operations within a leading biopharma company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the financial controlling activities for the assigned entity, ensuring compliance with IFRS and SOX.

• Oversee the period-end close process, including preparation of reports, analytical reviews, and ensuring timely and accurate statutory signoffs to the local Finance Director.

• Supervise and mentor one or more direct reports, supporting their professional development.

• Provide management reporting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and working capital.

• Conduct variance analysis for operating expenses, margins, profitability, and balance sheet health.

• Ensure the timely and effective performance of internal controls and support both internal and external audits.

• Provide business guidance in relation to local tax and statutory.

• Act as the primary point of contact for local business units.

• Contribute to business review meetings, providing financial insights and recommendations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent professional experience.

• 5 years’ experience in accounting, audit, or financial controlling.

• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles.

• Demonstrated ability to operate in a data-driven environment.

• Professional fluency in English (written and spoken).

• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience in multinational settings.

• Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.

Working model:
This role is hybrid. You will be expected to work from our Poland office regularly and be available for in-person collaboration.

The annual base salary in Poland for new hires in this position ranges from PLN 177,000 to PLN 295,000 gross, taking into account a number of factors including the candidate’s skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. Depending on the role and internal policies, the position may also be eligible for a bonus (if applicable and based on defined, non-discretionary criteria) and/or awards for exceptional performance (granted at the employer’s discretion). All statutory benefits will be maintained in accordance with Polish law. Other benefits may also be offered, which may include private healthcare, additional paid days off, life insurance, private pension plan and fully paid parental leave & care of family member leave.
