Job DescriptionGeneral Summary: Vertex Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Patient Support Training & Development Associate Director to join the North America Commercial Field Training (NACFT) organization. The Associate Director will report to the Director of US Patient Support Training and will focus on improving the proficiency and effectiveness of our US patient-facing teams across the Vertex product portfolio. Ability to work in hybrid capacity or on site required. Key Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Develop and execute onboarding training programs to ensure that the Patient Support teams are trained, certified experts in Vertex products and Patient Support processes and education </li><li>Partner with Patient Support Operations, leadership, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to develop training strategy and recommend solutions to drive business outcomes and knowledge, skills and competencies of patient-facing teams</li><li>Leverage adult learning principles to identify, design and deliver innovative learning experiences across modalities (in-person, virtual, hybrid, on-demand)</li><li>Lead the processes associated with the Communications Review Committee (CRC), procurement and strategic sourcing, vendor management activities, budget management </li><li>Identify and engage internal or external experts, as appropriate, to deliver topic-specific expertise </li><li>Develop metrics and evaluation tools to measure training impact, report on trends and analyze opportunities for learning initiatives </li><li>Support the development of cross-functional US Commercial training workshops and programs, including product launches, New Hire, POAs, and national business meetings</li><li>Continuously seek and support new approaches, practices, and processes to improve the efficiency of training services offered </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned </li></ul>Knowledge and Skills:<ul><li>Ability to develop and deliver both traditional and modern training methods (mentoring/coaching programs, virtual training, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning courses, scenario-based application workshops, etc.)</li><li>Proven communication skills with a well-developed ability to efficiently and productively communicate both verbally and in writing</li><li>Ability to influence, collaborate and interact effectively with multiple key stakeholders across teams to align on objectives and provide consistent training direction</li><li>Demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects/priorities including budgeting and actual spend against budget is required</li><li>Proven ability to work within a Learning Management System (LMS)</li><li>Ensure that all training programs are consistent with, and supporting of, company legal, regulatory and compliance guidelines</li><li>Proven ability to motivate and engage adult learners</li><li>Skillful team player able to develop rapport and credibility with key stakeholders</li><li>Ability to work independently and on a team; positive, team-focused approach is essential</li><li>Experience with and ability to use Microsoft Office and associated tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)</li><li>Ability to travel as needed</li></ul> Education and Experience:<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA or relevant Master’s degree preferred</li><li>5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry</li><li>3+ years commercial patient services training experience (in field or training role)</li></ul>Pay Range:$157,000 - $235,600Disclosure Statement:<div><div><div><div>The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements.
