Market Access Manager, Patient Centric Solutions & Access Innovation NEMAG

Introduction to role:

Lead the development and execution of patient-centric access strategies across NEMAG, including Patient Assistance Programs (PAPs), Patient Support Programs (PSPs), affordability solutions, managed entry agreements, private insurance collaborations, and other innovative access models.

The role will translate patient, payer, market, and business insights into clearly segmented access strategies, ensuring programs are compliant, operationally robust, financially sustainable, and capable of delivering measurable patient and business impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional Patient Centricity and innovative access strategies.
• Lead end-to-end design, approval, implementation, governance, and optimization of PAPs and PSPs.
• Drive patient segmentation and translate insights into tailored access solutions.
• Partner with Pricing, Market Access, Medical, Commercial, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and external stakeholders to develop sustainable access models.
• Assess pricing and financial implications of PAPs, co-payment schemes, tiered pricing models, MEAs, and private insurance collaborations.
• Lead vendor selection, contracting, performance management, and ongoing relationship management.
• Ensure full compliance with SOPs, audit requirements, documentation standards, and governance processes.
• Manage Patient Centricity budgets, forecasts, financial commitments, and business cases.
• Develop performance dashboards and ensure robust reporting of patient, operational, and business outcomes.

Essential Skills

• For Internals: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Astrazeneca
• For Externals: Minimum 4 years of direct Market Access, Pricing, Reimbursement, Health Economics, Governance, Commercial, Compliance or related experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of healthcare systems, payer environments, pricing and reimbursement processes across NEMAG markets.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations and market access best practices.
• Strong experience in Market Access, Patient Access, Pricing, Reimbursement, or Healthcare Strategy.
• Demonstrated experience managing PAPs and PSPs from strategy through implementation and audit readiness.
• This position requires the flexibility to travel up to 30% of the time to support business operations, stakeholder engagement, and regional priorities.
• Strong patient segmentation and strategic marketing capabilities.
• Solid pricing, financial modelling, and business case development skills.
• Strong analytical capabilities with ability to convert data into actionable insights.
• Experience navigating complex compliance, legal, and governance requirements.
• Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a highly matrixed environment.
• Strategic mindset combined with strong execution discipline.
• Excellent English command

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Managed Entry Agreements and innovative funding models.
• Understanding of Health Economics and Outcomes Research principles.
• Experience with private insurance partnerships and alternative access solutions.
• Experience in omnichannel strategy, patient journey design, and digital solutions.
• Multi-country regional experience.
• Oncology or specialty care experience.
• Experience supporting audits, inspections, or compliance reviews.
• Familiarity with iREAL and other access planning systems.
• MBA, PharmD, Public Health, Health Economics, Business, or related advanced qualification.
• Arabic and/or French language capabilities.
