<div class="content-intro"><p>At Tactile Medical, we specialize in developing at-home therapy devices to treat lymphedema, chronic venous insufficiency and respiratory illnesses.</p></div><p>The Manager of Application Development leads the design, development, and ongoing support of enterprise applications. This role combines strong technical depth with people leadership, ensuring teams deliver high‐quality, scalable solutions that meet business needs. The ideal candidate is a hands‐on technical leader, effective communicator, and self‐starter who can quickly learn new technologies and adapt in a fast‐moving environment.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br>Leadership & People Management:</p> <ul> <li>Lead, mentor, and develop application development teams, including employees and contractors</li> <li>Set clear expectations, goals, and priorities while fostering accountability and continuous improvement</li> <li>Provide coaching, performance feedback, and career development support</li> <li>Build a collaborative, high trust team culture focused on quality and delivery</li> </ul> <p>Application Development & Technical Oversight:</p> <ul> <li>Provide technical leadership across the full application lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, and support</li> <li>Work hands on with teams to solve complex technical challenges and guide architectural decisions</li> <li>Ensure applications are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise standards</li> <li>Oversee development work within SaaS platforms as well as custom and integrated solutions</li> <li>Review designs, code, and implementation approaches as needed to ensure quality and consistency</li> </ul> <p>Delivery & Execution:</p> <ul> <li>Partner with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions</li> <li>Manage team capacity, delivery commitments, and timelines</li> <li>Balance new feature development with operational stability and technical debt reduction</li> <li>Support agile or iterative delivery practices and continuous improvement</li> </ul> <p>Collaboration & Communication:</p> <ul> <li>Act as a key liaison between technical teams and non technical stakeholders</li> <li>Clearly communicate technical concepts, risks, and tradeoffs to diverse audiences</li> <li>Collaborate closely with architecture, integration, infrastructure, security, and data teams</li> <li>Contribute to roadmap planning and technology decision making</li> </ul> <p><br><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <p><strong>Education & Experience</strong></p> <p><em>Required:</em></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)</li> <li>7+ years of application development experience across a variety of technologies</li> <li>3+ years of people management or technical leadership experience</li> <li>Strong hands on experience working within enterprise platforms and ecosystems</li> <li>Broad technical background across multiple technologies (e.g., web, APIs, integrations, cloud, databases)</li> <li>Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and operate effectively in ambiguous environments</li> <li>Strong communication skills with both technical and non technical audiences</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive execution, and deliver results</li> </ul> <p><em>Preferred:</em></p> <ul> <li>Experience leading teams in an agile or product oriented environment</li> <li>Experience integrating SaaS applications with enterprise systems</li> <li>Familiarity with cloud platforms, modern development frameworks, and DevOps practices</li> <li>Experience supporting business critical or regulated systems</li> </ul> <p><strong>Key Competencies</strong></p> <ul> <li>Technical leadership with a pragmatic, hands on mindset</li> <li>Strong people leadership and coaching skills</li> <li>Clear, concise communicator</li> <li>Self starter with high ownership and accountability</li> <li>Adaptable and fast learner</li> <li>Collaborative and solution oriented</li> </ul> <p> </p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>Our total compensation package includes medical, dental and vision benefits, retirement benefits, employee stock purchase plan, paid time off, parental leave, family medical leave, volunteer time off and additional leave programs, life insurance, disability coverage, and other life and work wellness benefits and discounts.
