Key responsibilities for this role include:
Assists in organizing the resources needed to meet the production schedule, quality, cost and safety objectives.
Ensures the efficient operation of assigned production lines. Will start and stop production lines, correct jams, and make minor adjustments to the packaging equipment.
Monitors the product for compliance with quality standards.
Assists with maintaining inventory control of packaging materials which include the auditing of materials received from the distribution center and the reconciliation of materials after production is complete.
Understand and operate the Statistical Process Control (SPC) system.
Provide verification activities of critical packaging operations to include weights, torques, AQL checks and any other specified quality check.
Perform in-process/finished product quality checks during Packaging processes.
Obtain samples for QC testing and Stability.
Determine the need to place material on QA hold, and issue re-inspection, reprocess, and rework as directed by procedure.
Ensure that all safety rules and regulations are followed.
Maintains the packaging area to be in compliance with good housekeeping standards.
Maintains a variety of forms and logs. Maintains First In-First Out as supplied from Materials Department
Can perform all of the duties of a Lead Operator Trainee, Line Operator I and II.
Performs Material Handler duties when necessary.
Assists in the training of temporaries and new employees to have a highly skilled, productive crew.
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
Minimum 10 to 12 years related experience
