Your department
Your internship will take place in the Biostatistics & Data Science Core Lab & Near Patient Care department, which is part of our organization R&D Roche Diagnostic.
This development unit focuses on Biostatistics & Data Science. During your internship, you will work in the CC HET Biostatistics & Biophysics group.
Your tasks
Develop machine learning models for anomaly detection in time-series data to identify infrastructure issues proactively
Design and develop multi-agent systems for automated infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting
Build agentic workflows using frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen
Build conversational interfaces for AI-powered troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) for automated log analysis and summarization
Build knowledge retrieval systems using RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) techniques
Design and develop user interfaces for AI-powered troubleshooting tools
Experiment with different ML algorithms and GenAI approaches to optimize performance
Present your results and findings to stakeholders and the broader team
Your profile
You are currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
You have strong programming skills in Python and experience with modern development practices
You have hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) and understand prompt engineering concepts
You have practical experience building applications with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar
You understand agentic design patterns (ReAct, Plan-and-Execute, Reflection, Multi-Agent Collaboration, Tool Use)
You have experience building multi-agent systems or orchestrating multiple AI agents to solve complex tasks
You are familiar with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) techniques and vector databases
You have experience with API integration and working with external tools and services
You are familiar with natural language processing techniques and text analysis
You possess excellent communication skills, with required proficiency in both written and spoken German and English
