Drug data last refreshed Yesterday
Junior Strength Motrin is an oral chewable ibuprofen tablet indicated for pain, fever, headache, sore throat pain, postoperative pain, back pain, dental pain, and tension-type headache in pediatric and younger patients. It works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes to reduce prostaglandin production and inflammation. This is a mature, over-the-counter NSAID formulation approved in 1996.
As a mature OTC product approaching loss of exclusivity, the brand team is likely focused on line extensions and defending market share against generic competition rather than expansion.
