Summary Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in the shipping and distribution of Atlas product; ensures workers are following safety guidelines; monitors and controls distribution expenses; and utilizes the 80/20 toolbox and continuous improvements by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises employees in the Ashland warehouse. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; resolving problems and performing job assignments (closure department, paint department, shipping department and any other department they have been trained to work) when needed. Plus, continually works to improve Supervisory skills.

Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Experience with ERP systems required.
Other Skills, Qualifications and Abilities
Experience working in a manufacturing environment; enforcing Safety procedures; Mechanical ability; Maintenance experience a plus. Must be able to pass a driver's exam to operate a forklift along with the ability to be a forklift trainer. Must pass pre-hire drug screening.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
