We are seeking a Total Rewards Business Partnering Lead – APAC to drive Lonza Group’s Total Rewards agenda in support of One Lonza and our business platforms, with primary accountability for China, India, and Singapore. Based in Hyderabad, this role ensures competitive, compliant, and business‑aligned reward solutions while contributing to global initiatives and supporting transformation programs, including the establishment of Lonza’s Global Capability Center (GCC) in India.
Role Purpose / Summary
The Total Rewards Partner – Partnering Enablement acts as a trusted partner and PMO lead for the Rewards Partnering team, coordinating and supporting common Total Rewards activities across regions. The role plays a central part in enabling consistent, high quality delivery by developing practical standards, tools, and thought leadership, while supporting regional teams on day tod ay partnering requests and business driven initiatives such as restructuring, growth, and retention. Operating at the intersection of partnering, enablement, and operations, the role helps shape scalable ways of working, strengthens delivery efficiency, and maintains a strong connection between business needs and Total Rewards Operations.
Key Accountabilities
Act as PMO lead for key Total Rewards partnering activities across regions, ensuring alignment, prioritization, structured execution, and clear reporting.
Support EMEA and APAC on common, repeatable partnering requests (e.g. offer exceptions, buyouts, retention actions, data preparation), applying Global Total Rewards governance and working closely with regional TR Partners to ensure consistent and timely outcomes.
Develop aligned partnering tools, templates, and guidance that support the Total Rewards Partnering team in responding to business requirements in a consistent, efficient, and governed manner.
Develop thought leadership and enablement materials to support Total Rewards delivery in business driven initiatives (e.g. restructuring, site growth, retention, workforce transitions), translating complex contexts into clear reward guidance and decision support for HR and leaders.
Act as the primary interface between Partnering and Total Rewards Operations, standardizing common partnering activities to enable efficient and lean delivery, while maintaining a strong feedback loop between business needs and Total Rewards Operations.
Identify, document, and package repeatable partnering processes within governance, defining scope, decision rights, and controls to enable scale and sustainability.
Leverage digital and AI-enabled solutions to improve insight, efficiency, and repeatability across partnering and delivery activities.
Deputize APAC Total Rewards Partners as required, providing coverage and advisory support while maintaining governance discipline.
Key Requirements
Strong partnering, internal consulting, and influencing skills in a matrixed, global environment
Proven PMO, planning, and execution capability, able to structure, prioritize, and drive parallel activities
Ability to translate complex topics into clear tools, frameworks, and guidance (e.g. templates, playbooks, PowerPoint materials)
Solid analytical and data‑handling skills (including Excel) to support repeatable partnering requests and decision‑making
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to support HR and leaders in business‑driven contexts
Digital and AI literacy, with a practical mindset for improving efficiency, insight, and repeatability.
Comfortable working through ambiguity with a hands‑on, delivery‑oriented approach and high professional rigor
