This is a place to make a difference in the world.</span></p><p></p><p></p><p><b><span>The Role &amp; What You Will Be Doing</span></b></p><p><span>Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the <b>Technical Innovation &amp; Solutions Lead</b> role will make an impact:</span></p><p></p><p></p><p><b><span>Hands-on Programming</span></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Design and develop customized reports and applications in R and R Shiny for monitoring and both planned analyses and data exploration across clinical trials.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Identify, design, and implement technical solutions that improve efficiency and scalability, leading initiatives from proof of concept to business adoption to deliver measurable value.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Operational Excellence &amp; Innovation</span></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Lead the continuous improvement and implementation of technical processes, workflows and tools, in close collaboration with other biometry team leaders.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Establish and promote best practices for coding standards, version control, and automation across biometry teams.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Stay current on emerging technologies, industry standards, and innovations in programming and data science.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Business owner for Posit platform.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Strategic &amp; Cross-Function Partnership</span></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Partner with clinical science, data management, programming, and biostatistics to identify and prioritize high-impact technical initiatives.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Act as the primary technical interface to IT for biometry innovation topics.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Advocate for and support the adoption of modern programming approaches (e.g., R, Python) in biometry, including organizing targeted training.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Leadership &amp; People Development</span></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Lead, mentor and collaborate with a small team of technical specialists (R/Shiny developers, data scientists and statistical programmers) who support biometry innovation initiatives.</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>About Your Skills &amp; Experience</b></p><p>For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.</p></li><li><p>8&#43; years within a pharmaceutical company or CRO.</p></li><li><p>Proven ability to program and oversee statistical analyses using clinical trial data (SDTM and ADaM), with a strong understanding of clinical trial analysis workflows and regulatory-compliant processes.</p></li><li><p><b>Extensive hands-on experience with R:</b></p><ul><li><p>Advanced R programming skills, beyond knowledge of packages like <i>dplyr</i> and <i>ggplot2</i> (required).</p></li><li><p>Hands-on expertise in designing and building professional Shiny applications for statistical analysis, visualization and review of clinical trial data (required).</p></li><li><p>Ability to create reproducible reports using RMarkdown and/or Quarto (required).</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS).</p></li></ul></li><li><p><b>Strategic and technical leadership:</b></p><ul><li><p>3&#43; years experience leading technical projects.</p></li><li><p>Ability to act as a technical authority: challenge requirements, push back on non-viable requests, and make trade-offs when needed.</p></li><li><p>Proven ability to articulate and defend innovative technical approaches in discussions with IT and senior stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage multiple projects in parallel.</p></li><li><p>Excellent presentation, interpersonal skills, and collaborative communication style; English proficiency at an advanced level.</p></li></ul></li></ul><p></p><p><b>What we offer </b></p><ul><li><p>Friendly working atmosphere in a great team, Great Place to Work® certified</p></li><li><p>Home office option up to 2 days per week</p></li><li><p>Development opportunities within an international company</p></li></ul><p></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">A<span><span>t Viatris, we offer<span> </span></span></span><span><span>competitive<span> </span></span></span><span><span>salar</span></span><span><span>ies</span></span><span><span>, benefits</span></span><span><span><span> </span>and</span></span><span><span><span> </span></span></span><span><span>an inclusive environment where you can use your experiences, perspectives and skills to help make an impact on the lives of others.</span></span><span><span> </span></span></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><span>Viatris is an Equal Opportunity Employer. </span></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>#LI-DNI
