Student Assistant, Finance Projects & Process Support

We are seeking a passionate Student Assistant to join our growing team. As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma team, you will play a crucial role in supporting finance projects and process improvement initiatives across the department. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with cross-functional, global teams working together to achieve extraordinary results. 

You will be joining the Finance Projects & Process Support team consisting of 5 colleagues, and report directly to Søren Amstrup, Senior Director & Head of Finance Projects & Process Support, who is based in Hellerup, Copenhagen. You will be based in Hellerup, Copenhagen.  

Your key responsibilities will be: 

• Conducting intermediate-level data analysis and financial analysis in Excel 

• Contributing to the optimization of processes within the finance function 

• Owning and ad-hoc / as-needed requests (must have a “do-it-all” mindset) 

Qualifications and Skills: 

You are currently enrolled and pursuing an academic degree. Ideally within International Business, Finance, Accounting, or another relevant field. 

Furthermore, you have: 

• A strong skillset in Excel 

• Fluency in English and Danish, written and verbal 

Key competencies: 

You are a strong team player, analytical, and have a can-do attitude.  

You possess an entrepreneurial mindset and can thrive in an informal, open environment where innovation and change are key.    

To succeed in this role, we also expect you to be comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly varied environment, a strong problem-solver, and eager to learn.  

Hours: 15-20 hours per week. We want you to be able to balance your studies and work responsibilities and therefore offer flexibility during exam periods.
