We are looking for a Strategic/Technical Portfolio Manager (Dermatology & Therapeutics) to join our companion animal team. This dual-aspect role blends portfolio/brand support with scientific and technical engagement, helping ensure our veterinary dermatology and therapeutics portfolio is positioned effectively and supported with high-quality, evidence-based communication.
The role exists to ensure that our key brands communicate scientifically credible, customer relevant value propositions, and that insights from the field are translated into clear, effective strategies and execution.
Key responsibilities include:
Devising and implementing effective marketing strategies to deliver sustainable sales growth and profitability
Building and executing credible technical engagement plans to support customer and internal needs
Key Activities
Produce fully-integrated, strategic and tactical marketing and technical plans (including budgets) for the portfolio, working in partnership with marketing, technical, National Accounts and field sales teams.
Implement agreed plans, including:
Communicating strategy and initiatives to relevant internal stakeholders (sales, technical, global, etc.)
Designing and project‑managing advertising and promotional campaigns, ensuring delivery against objectives, timelines, and budget
Monitoring performance against plan, identifying variances, and initiating corrective action where required
Reviewing and evaluating campaign effectiveness and sharing best practice within the marketing community
Executing customer facing CPD programmes and congress activity to support ongoing education and awareness building
Monitoring market/competitive developments and bring forward insights to inform plans and content.
Support accurate forecasting and work with demand planning to ensure appropriate stock management and allocation (where required)
Translate complex clinical and scientific data into clear, compliant, customer‑relevant messages and ensure scientific integrity across all customer‑facing activity
Support high‑impact technical engagements where required, including key accounts, advisory activity (KOLs) or internal capability building
Provide technical advice to customers in line with pharmacovigilance requirements
Lead the cross functional brand leadership team and coordinate workstreams to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
What you’ll bring
MRCVS or equivalent
Experience in animal health/pharma/healthcare in a marketing, technical, medical affairs or similar customer-facing role
Strong scientific literacy with the ability to interpret and communicate evidence clearly to different audiences.
Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with confidence working across cross-functional teams.
Strong planning and project management skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver multiple workstreams.
Comfort operating in a regulated environment with a focus on accuracy, compliance and quality.
Confident communicator and presenter
Good understanding of financial and commercial concepts coupled with strong analytical and decision making capability
Willingness to travel as required.
Experience or strong interest in veterinary dermatology would be highly desirable
