Marmon Utility LLC<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><span>As a part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings—which is backed by Berkshire Hathaway—</span><span>you’ll</span><span> be doing things that matter, leading at every level, and winning a better way. </span><span>We’re</span><span> committed to making a positive impact on the world, providing you with diverse learning and working opportunities, and fostering a culture where </span><span>everyone’s</span><span> empowered to be their best.</span></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p>The purpose of this job is to operate the rigid and semi-automatic stranders to produce cable.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><b>SHIFT DETAILS</b></p><p>Working Shift: Mon-Thur 7am-7pm (3 day weekend)</p><p>Training Shift Options: Mon-Thur 7am-7pm or Mon-Thur 7pm-7am</p><p></p><p><b>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</b></p><p>· Review work orders / product documentation</p><p>· Load and unload spools with raw material and finished product</p><p>· Set up machines: load pay off reels and spools, remove empty spools, guide wire through machine, change dies and gears</p><p>· Operate and monitor semi-automatic and rigid machines and take-up and pay-off machines.</p><p>· Repair / weld breaks, capstan, and other operational issues</p><p>· Make samples for QC</p><p>· Gauge / inspect product</p><p>· Load and operate chopper</p><p>· Operate fork trucks and reel mover</p><p>· Monitor and maintain supply of raw material</p><p>· Generate labels, apply to product and document</p><p>· Cut off, secure, wrap and remove finished product from line to storage</p><p>· Trouble shoot line problems and repair or request assistance as indicated</p><p>· Communicate with supervisors, work as part of team</p><p></p><p><b>EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS</b></p><p>· Read / use precision gauges and tools</p><p>· Perform shop math</p><p>· Read/follow written instructions</p><p>· Use computer for simple tasks</p><p></p><p><b>SKILLS AND ABILITIES QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS</b></p><p>· Maintain orderly and clean work area</p><p>· Verify calibration of measuring devices</p><p>· Train employees</p><p>· Participate in maintaining ISO certification</p><p>· Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement</p><p>· Perform other duties as assigned</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><span>Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, <span>candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes</span> as permitted or required by applicable law</span>.</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
