Job Description
We are seeking a Sr Research Associate in Analytical Development to develop and champion innovative analytical methods and technologies supporting the characterization and process development of novel small-molecule drug substances.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and execute analytical methods and experiments supporting characterization, process development, and project objectives for novel small-molecule drug substances.
Analyze and interpret data, assess quality, investigate anomalous results, and recommend scientifically sound solutions.
Produce clear, traceable documentation and communicate results and conclusions through reports, discussions, and presentations.
Collaborate across Analytical Development, Process Development, Quality, and Manufacturing to solve technical problems and meet project goals.
Perform work in accordance with applicable procedures and quality, safety, and environmental standards while supporting continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications
High School and Five Years’ Experience
OR
Associate Degree and Four Years’ Experience
OR
Bachelor's Degree and Two Years’ Experience
OR
Masters' Degree
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with UPLC/HPLC, GC, KF titration, LCMS, GCMS, NMR, DSC/TGA, particle size analysis, XRPD, or related chromatographic and characterization techniques.
Knowledge of analytical testing in a regulated laboratory environment.
Knowledge of organic synthesis and reaction mechanisms.
Experience with coding, data modelling, or digital tools supporting analytical method development and innovation.
MSc with 0+ years or BSc with 2+ years of industry experience in chemistry, natural product chemistry, biochemistry, or a related discipline.
Knowledge of chromatography and modern chromatography systems.
Strong laboratory, data interpretation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to guide experimental design.
Clear written and verbal communication, including concise presentation of analytical results.
Strong organization, time management, and interpersonal skills; able to work semi-independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
