Amgen is seeking a “Salesforce Sr Developer”

Basic Qualifications:

• Master's degree / Bachelor’s degree and 5 to 9 years of experience in Salesforce development.

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will support enterprise-wide Salesforce initiatives and digital transformation programs. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing scalable Salesforce solutions across business functions while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and development best practices.

The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience in Salesforce configuration, customization, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex development, integrations, data management, and modern AI-enabled development practices. This role requires close collaboration with architects, business analysts, product owners, and cross-functional technology teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure Salesforce applications.

You will also contribute to innovation initiatives by leveraging AI capabilities, developing proof of concepts (PoC's), and driving continuous improvement in development efficiency, automation, and platform adoption. The individual should be a proactive contributor, strong team player, and capable of independently delivering complex development assignments in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and Salesforce configuration capabilities while adhering to enterprise development standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, product owners, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into efficient technical solutions across Salesforce applications and integrations.
• Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and enterprise applications using APIs, middleware platforms, and integration technologies while ensuring secure and reliable data exchange.
• Perform Salesforce configuration and customization activities including workflows, validation rules, approval processes, reports, dashboards, security configurations, and automation frameworks.
• Support data migration, data loading, and data management activities using Salesforce data tools and integration utilities while ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Independently manage and deliver ongoing development activities, enhancements, bug fixes, and production support tasks within project timelines and quality expectations.
• Leverage AI-enabled development tools and modern engineering practices to improve development productivity, accelerate delivery timelines, and enhance solution quality.
• Research, develop, and demonstrate proof of concepts (PoCs) for innovative business ideas, emerging Salesforce capabilities, AI-driven solutions, and process improvements.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, release planning, and sprint activities while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the development team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across Salesforce applications, integrations, and platform customizations while ensuring optimal system performance and stability.
• Ensure all developed solutions comply with enterprise security, governance, and Salesforce platform best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing, technical documentation, and development standards across the Salesforce team.
• Build strong working relationships with stakeholders and actively contribute as a collaborative team player within agile delivery teams.

Must Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Salesforce development including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Salesforce Flows, configuration, customization, and platform automation capabilities.
• Proven experience in designing and developing scalable Salesforce applications with a solid understanding of Salesforce architecture, governor limits, security model, and development best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, middleware solutions, and external system integrations.
• Experience in Salesforce data migration, data loading, and data management activities using tools such as Data Loader and other ETL/integration utilities.
• Good understanding of Salesforce deployment processes, DevOps practices, source control management, and CI/CD methodologies. Having Copado deployment experience is a plus.
• Experience using AI-enabled development tools and productivity solutions to improve software delivery efficiency and accelerate development activities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently on complex development assignments.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
• Strong team player with a proactive mindset, learning attitude, and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Good to have exposure to MuleSoft development and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience working with AI-driven platforms, Agentforce capabilities, and emerging Salesforce AI technologies is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies and enterprise application lifecycle management practices.
• Salesforce Platform Developer I and II certifications are preferred. Additional Salesforce certifications related to App Builder, Integration, JavaScript Developer, or Architect tracks are a plus.
• Exposure to enterprise-scale Salesforce implementations and multi-org environments is beneficial.
