SPS Planning Manager

You will lead a team of Supply Chain Planning professionals responsible for ensuring service parts availability for health systems worldwide. You will drive end‑to‑end planning performance, lead cross‑functional collaboration with Business and Region partners, and deliver operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives. This role is critical to enabling service readiness for customers while managing working capital and minimizing inventory risk for the company.

Your role:

1. Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Planners (Business Planners and Strategic Planners) to achieve material availability, inventory, and service performance targets.
  • Set clear goals, provide continuous feedback, and drive professional growth within the team.
  • Foster a high‑performance, customer‑first culture consistent with SPS values and expectations.

2. End‑to‑End Planning Ownership

  • Oversee the demand forecasting, inventory target setting, and supply planning process across global central warehouses.
  • Govern the quality and effectiveness of planning parameters, master data accuracy, and adherence to planning standards.
  • Review and act on performance dashboards—stock‑outs, material availability misses, excess & obsolescence—ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions.

3. Cross‑Functional Partnership

  • Guide planning involvement in lifecycle‑related activities such as New Product Introductions, Engineering Changes, Last Time Buys, and Phase‑outs.
  • Act as escalation point for global Field Change Order (FCO) planning topics, ensuring coordinated responses with Business FCO and SPS FCO Planning teams.

4. Process & System Excellence

  • Drive adoption and continuous improvement of the Advanced Planning Tool (SPM) and SAP ERP systems, ensuring planners are trained, parameters remain optimal, and alerts are effectively managed.
  • Lead or sponsor LEAN initiatives, Hoshin activities, and breakthrough projects that enhance planning performance, reduce variability, and strengthen supply chain resilience.
  • Own process standardization, documentation, and governance across the Global Planning organization.

5. Strategic Contribution

  • Contribute to SPS strategy development by translating business needs into planning capabilities, capacity requirements, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Present performance trends, risks, and improvement actions to senior leadership.
  • Support long‑term supply chain design discussions for service parts planning and distribution network evolution.

You're the right fit if:

·       Master or Bachelor’s Degree with Supply Chain Planning and/or Supply Chain operations,

·       At least 5-8 years of working experience in Supply Chain operations, preferably at large company in an international environment,

·       Fluency in English

·       Strong analytical capabilities, clear communicator, standout colleague,

·       Detail oriented and able to make clear decisions with available information

·       Experience in working with a Supply Chain Planning tool, SPM preferred

·       An excellent understanding of SAP ERP Systems and Data

·       Experience within Customer Service and Healthcare industry is preferred

·       Creativeness, thinking in solutions and driving implementation

·       Experience with LEAN deployment is preferred
