About the Role:
We're looking for a Sr. Director, Therapeutic Area Insights – Neuro & Other Rare on the Commercial Effectiveness team to help us expand what's possible for patients with serious and rare diseases. Reporting to the Executive Director, Global Forecasting, Insights & Analytics, you'll lead the strategy, design, and implementation of forecasting, insights, and analytics plans for a growing therapeutic area portfolio — including gene therapies and other modalities across Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), and Stargardt Disease. As a key advisor to Therapeutic Area (TA) leadership and Global Program Teams (GPTs), you'll shape program strategies, help to develop robust revenue forecasts, and enable data-informed decision-making across go-to-market models and competitive strategy. What You'll Do:
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to serve as the primary insights and analytics advisor to Therapeutic Area leadership, guiding and influencing data-driven decisions across the portfolio and Global Program Teams.
You'll also:
Proactively identify and anticipate key business questions to inform projects that deliver actionable insights through close collaboration across the TA and GPTs
Design and execute strategic research plans to address key business questions, inform strategy development, and support portfolio planning
Lead end-to-end research projects — defining objectives, overseeing execution, interpreting results, and communicating findings with clarity to cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership
Select and manage external vendors across market research, competitive intelligence, analytics, and forecasting, including scoping, RFP processes, methodology approval, and budget oversight
Lead long-range forecasting efforts by guiding the development of demand and sales driver models, quantifying key scenarios and sensitivities, and partnering with TA and GPT leadership to define critical assumptions
Translate complex data into compelling strategic narratives that drive decision-making and ensure cross-functional alignment
Continuously adapt insights and analytics capabilities using state-of-the-art methodologies to meet evolving TA and GPT needs
Help to build and mentor a high-performing, cohesive team with deep expertise in forecasting, analytics, and market research over time
Partner with regional colleagues in EMEA and Japan to ensure a coordinated and consistent TA insights and analytics approach across regions
Who You Are
You have a Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, statistics, or a related field (advanced degree preferred), along with 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic consulting, market research, or business development in the biopharmaceutical industry.
You are a strategic and engaging thought-partner who can navigate between granular details and disease area strategy, and you also have:
Experience with and deep understanding of one-time/specialized in vivo or ex vivo therapies administered in treatment centers (e.g., gene therapies, gene editing, cell therapies)
Proven leadership skills with the ability to select, develop, and mentor high-performing teams
Expertise in transforming complex data into compelling strategic narratives for leadership
An inquisitive nature with the ability to dig deep into insights, identify the "why" behind data and trends, and synthesize findings into clear and concise outputs
High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness
Nice to have (but not required):
Familiarity with global insights and analytics approaches across EMEA and/or Japan markets
