As a Senior Director, Global Strategic Marketing Lead HIV Treatment at Gilead is a pivotal global commercial leadership role shaping the launch and long-term success of HIV Treatment products across the G9 markets. This position plays a critical role in defining strategy, accelerating launch readiness, and driving global alignment to maximize patient impact and business performance.

You will serve as a strategic leader within the HIV franchise, partnering across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Value & Access, Analytics, Public Affairs, Government Affairs, and regional stakeholders to develop and execute a differentiated global strategy.

This position is based onsite at Gilead's headquarters in Foster City, California. Remote work is not available for this role. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the Foster City area and be available to work onsite as required.

Global Launch & Commercial Strategy

• Lead the global go-to-market strategy for HIV Treatment, including brand positioning, value proposition, messaging architecture, and campaign strategy.
• Develop and drive integrated global launch and indication strategies that support market access, regulatory requirements, and country-level execution.
• Ensure global strategic priorities inform and enable successful local commercialization plans.

Strategic Insight & Business Leadership

• Translate complex market, competitive, customer, and product insights into actionable commercial strategies and business recommendations.
• Identify unmet needs and opportunities that strengthen brand differentiation and drive market adoption.
• Contribute to HIV portfolio strategy and cross-brand positioning efforts.

Enterprise Cross-Functional Leadership

• Partner across functions and geographies to align stakeholders around launch objectives and strategic priorities.
• Influence decision-making by building strong partnerships with global and regional teams.
• Drive execution excellence across multiple workstreams while ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.

Commercial Planning & Performance

• Support development of earnings call materials, forecasts, long-range planning activities, and leadership guidance.
• Lead development and implementation of innovative commercial initiatives aligned with brand objectives and growth priorities.
• Monitor strategic execution and adjust plans to address evolving market dynamics and business needs.

Operational Excellence

• Lead complex projects with accountability for quality, timelines, budget management, and stakeholder alignment.
• Foster disciplined execution and continuous improvement across launch and commercialization activities.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Marketing, or related field and 14 years' relevant experience; OR
• Master's degree and 12 years' relevant experience; OR
• PhD and 12 years' relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, advanced life sciences degree, or medical degree.
• HIV therapeutic area expertise.
• Global product launch experience.
• Country-level marketing leadership or business unit leadership experience.
• Experience working across diverse global markets and cultures.
• Demonstrated success in multi-channel marketing and global pharmaceutical planning.
• Experience supporting forecasting, long-range planning, and executive communications.
• Background in management consulting, business transformation, or change management.
• Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

The salary range for this position is: $243,100.00 - $314,600.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
