Search Experience Lead

Introduction to role:
 

Are you ready to lead the evolution of search—from traditional SEO to AI-powered discovery—and see your strategy shape how patients and healthcare professionals find trusted information? You will be based in Bangalore and work across global markets. You will lead the full search journey. You will also develop our generative experience strategy that links advanced technical SEO and next-generation AI search to increase growth and visibility.

You will lead a high-performing team of analysts, partner with cross-functional experts, and bring clarity to sophisticated challenges as we move at pace! This is a role for a builder and a shaper: you will experiment, learn fast, and scale what works. How would you ensure our brand earns citations in LLM outputs while lifting organic performance across markets.
 

Accountabilities:

• Team Leadership: Coach, develop and direct a global team of analysts to deliver high-quality search experience tactics with consistency and speed.
• Organizational Change: Lead market-by-market adoption of evolving search strategies, aligning collaborators and embedding new ways of working across a matrixed organization.
• Quality Assurance: Own end-to-end QA for results, ensuring factual accuracy and alignment with project objectives, timelines and collaborator expectations.
• Strategic Storytelling: Translate ambiguous, complex search challenges into clear narratives, recommendations and decisions for senior stakeholders.
• Cross-Market Alignment: Harmonize priorities across functions and geographies, balancing challenging needs to advance a unified search vision.
• Experimentation and Roadmap: Design and run research and tests; present findings and inform roadmap decisions that improve search experience outcomes.
• Keyword and Topic Strategy: Lead keyword and topic research using Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush and Bright Edge to guide content and optimization strategies.
• Technical SEO Excellence: Monitor, analyze and improve on-page and technical elements—site structure, metadata, internal linking and page performance—to lift organic visibility.
• Competitive Intelligence: Identify content gaps, UX issues and design improvements through competitive analysis to strengthen organic performance.
• Technical Site Audits: Lead audits for site speed, Core Web Vitals, crawlability, structured data and indexation to ensure technical readiness.
• Performance Reporting: Prepare and present regular performance reports against defined goals, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities that inform action.
• Generative Experience Optimization: Optimize content for entity authority, topical depth and source credibility to improve citations and inclusion in AI outputs.
• Structured Content Design: Develop structured content frameworks—FAQs, summaries and authoritative long form—designed for AI ingestion.
• Brand Presence in AI: Monitor brand mentions and citations across LLMs and AI search surfaces using emerging GEO analytics tools.
• Signal Vigilance: Stay current with evolving GEO best practices, LLM ranking signals and AI search behavior to keep our strategy ahead of the curve.
• Measurement Frameworks: Build GEO measurement frameworks tracking AI citation rate, answer inclusion and brand presence in LLM outputs to demonstrate impact.
   

Essential Skills/Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in search experience and generative experience optimization
• 4–7 years of hands-on experience with a proven record of driving measurable organic growth
• Deep technical expertise in crawl optimization, schema markup and Core Web Vitals
• Strong command of tools including Google Search Console, Ahrefs or Semrush, Screaming Frog, GA4 and BrightEdge
• Demonstrated understanding of how LLMs surface content and citations
• Knowledge of prompt engineering as it relates to AI content strategies
• Ability to translate technical insights into clear business language for non-specialist stakeholders
   

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• Pharma knowledge
• Experience leading cross-market change management in large, matrixed organizations
• Proven track record building GEO measurement frameworks for AI citation and brand presence
• Background in designing structured content for AI ingestion and entity-based SEO
