As an R&D Scientist in our NGS Library Preparation and Target Enrichment team, you will be a key player in executing sample preparation workflows. You will work within a dynamic environment dedicated to advancing molecular biology research and contributing to innovative development efforts. The Opportunity
Execute NGS library preparation from diverse sample types using various construction methods.
Perform DNA and RNA extraction from biological samples, optimizing protocols for high yield and purity.
Quantify nucleic acids accurately using instruments like Qubit and NanoDrop.
Operate and troubleshoot sequencing platforms for routine laboratory runs.
Conduct quality control for nucleic acids and libraries utilizing Agilent TapeStation.
Maintain precise experimental records in laboratory notebooks and digital formats.
Analyze experimental data to contribute to technical reports and team presentations.
Collaborate with cross-functional team members on experimental design and troubleshooting.
Who you are
You hold a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related field.
You possess 2-4 years of relevant laboratory experience, ideally within an industry setting.
You have hands-on experience with NGS library preparation protocols such as DNA-seq or RNA-seq.
You are proficient in PCR, nucleic acid extraction, and standard molecular biology techniques.
You demonstrate strong critical thinking skills and meticulous attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
Experience with advanced DNA QC instruments like Tapestation and Nanodrop.
Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet project timelines.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Pleasanton is 68 900,00 - 106 000,00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
