The Student Placement for Leica Biosystems is a key technical contributor to the development of immunochemistry technology and advanced staining reagent products
This position is part of the Research and Development (R&D) team located in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and will be an on-site position.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Learn and implement the process of developing products within a regulatory environment.
Devising detailed plans for the development, verification and validation of new products.
Become part of a team responsible for the delivery of cutting edge new diagnostic products.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Undergoing second year of a BSc degree within a relevant Biomedical/Biological science that supports an industrial placement year.
Understanding of histopathology, histological/immunohistochemical and molecular biology techniques.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
There are no travel expectations. This role is entirely based at the Leica Biosystems Newcastle facility.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Experience of working in a controlled laboratory environment.
