This role is on-site in Egypt and requires presence at the manufacturing facility.
Department: Engineering
Reporting to: Production Engineering Manager
Lead the maintenance team to deliver safe, reliable and compliant operations for assigned production lines and utilities.
Plan, schedule and oversee preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance using the CMMS.
Preparing plan and list for the required spare parts (foreign and local) for all machines.
Analyse all machines/equipment performance and breakdown data to identify the main causes which affecting the overall performance.
Find alternative engineering solutions to sustain the machine high performance operation.
Prepare, Supervise executing the Installation of new equipment as well as the Qualification (IQ) & Operation Qualifications (OQ) for all machines in FAT (Factory Acceptance Test ) and SAT ( Site Acceptance Test ).
Executing the Machinery safety programs for machines.
Applying process safety requirements on all machines and equipment.
Spreading the LEAN culture in production shop floor "GEMBA, Standard Work, 5S, RCA and tiered accountability).
Issue SOP's (Standard Operation Procedures) for the new machines and revise the existing describing preventive maintenance and other action needed through SOP.
Creation of the URS “User Requirements Specification”, revising the design review, Factory Acceptance Test and Site Acceptance Test with the validation team.
Follow GSK quality standards in all aspects and consider all safety standards in the machines as per EHS guidelines.
Basic Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering
Minimum 7 years of maintenance experience in a pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role
Strong knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and EHS requirements
Experience with equipment qualification (IQ/OQ) and lifecycle management
Practical knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices and CMMS use
Native Arabic speaker with fluent English skills
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Background in Pharmaceutical Production Equipment (Manufacturing vessels, filling & Packaging lines).
Skills in root cause analysis, reliability engineering or Lean continuous improvement tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Effective communication and leadership skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
Solid presentation and stakeholder management skills
