The portfolio development and pricing manager seeks out and executes upon profitable short and long-term portfolio development opportunities within Viatris’ internal portfolio and with trusted third-party supply partners.  Optimizing product profitability is a key focus of this role as is providing access to high quality medicines for New Zealand patients. The Portfolio Development and Pricing Manager will work to strengthen Viatris’ reputation with government agency Pharmac as an innovative solution provider and partner of choice.

 

Key responsibilities for this role include:

 

• Manage product portfolio development relationships with approved third-party suppliers.
• Identify new opportunities and gap-fills in the product portfolio.
• Managing product subsidy and re-imbursement applications with Pharmac.
• Negotiate supply agreements and manage progress of contracts to completion.
• Identifying new product opportunities to commercialize in the New Zealand market.
• Conduct product P&L reviews to improve profitability and optimise product portfolio.
• Collaborate with the wider BD team for pipeline development.

The minimum qualifications and experience required for this role includes:

• At least 3 years of experience working in a Commercial business within the Pharmaceutical or FMCG industries;
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in: Business Development, Finance, Reimbursement or Pricing;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Must be eligible to work in New Zealand (Citizen or appropriate Visa holder).
