Pharmacy Relations Manager, Oncology

Introduction to role:

Are you ready to shape how hospital pharmacies deliver oncology treatments and unlock capacity where it matters most? In this role, you will work across multiple tumour sites, connecting strategy with execution across Ontario and Quebec, building the partnerships and operational solutions that help care teams treat patients effectively and efficiently.

You will be the bridge between pharmacy leaders and our cross-functional teams across Lung, GI and Gyn/GU cancers, turning insights into action. Your work will help to optimize infusion capacity, improve chemo suite efficiency, and streamline pharmacy workflows, directly contributing to better patient experiences and outcomes. How will you harness your expertise and relationships to remove bottlenecks in cancer medication delivery?

Accountabilities:

• Strategic Pharmacy Engagement:
  • Develop and execute provincial hospital pharmacy strategies aligned to national Marketing strategy
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with hospital and provincial pharmacy leadership and with pharmacists at the centre level
  • Identify emerging oncology pharmacy trends, operational challenges, and policy changes impacting our business
  • Partner with external and internal stakeholders toco-create innovative solutions that improve infusion capacity, patient pathways, chemo suite efficiency, and pharmacy workflows.

• Stakeholder Management:
  • Collaborate with provincial/national pharmacy bodies and associations, cancer agencies, and healthcare organizations on initiatives that improve system sustainability
  • Partner with colleagues from Sales, Medical, Access, Diagnostics and Health Systems to ensure a streamlined, customer-centric account management approach and unified strategy
  • Maximize customer value while avoiding duplication of efforts
  • Serve as a pharmacy subject matter expert to our internal cross-functional teams
• Insight Generation and Business Planning:
  • Gather insights on pharmacy priorities, operational barriers, treatment landscape, competitive dynamics, and pricing constraints
  • Deliver the Pharmacy Strategic and Tactical Plan
  • Ensure plans are integrated into Brand Strategies and access planning cycles
• Cross-functional Delivery
  • Work across teams to deliver on shared objectives
  • Provide execution guidance and ensure alignment to drive measurable outcomes for centers and patients.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (preferred), Life Sciences, Nursing or related healthcare disciplines
• Strong understanding of the Canadian oncology healthcare environment with deep knowledge of ON and QC
• 3-5 years of experience in the Healthcare system, Hospitals and/or pharmaceutical industry, in oncology
• Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives
• Must be a self-starter and team player with superior people and motivational skills.
• Must have an entrepreneurial mind-set.
• Ability to think strategically.
• Demonstrated business acumen.
• Strong decision-making, problem solving, and judgment skills.
• A valid Driver's license is required.  (The successful candidate must be able to provide a valid driver abstract)
• Fully bilingual mandatory (French/English) 

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• 2-3 years of experience in Pharmaceutical Sales in Oncology and/or deep expertise in an Oncology Treatment Center, working closely with the Pharmacy team and decision makers
• Experience in training, marketing and/or external affairs management

Annual base salary for this position ranges from 115,084.00 to 151,047.75.

AstraZeneca is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities to all colleagues. Our compensation policies and practices have been designed to allow colleagues to progress through the salary range over time as they progress in their role. The range provided in this posting represents an offer pay range used in a majority of situations. The base pay offered will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business and organizational needs.  In some cases, offers outside the range may also be considered to address unique circumstances.

In addition, our permanent positions offer an annual Variable Pay Bonus/Short Term Incentive opportunity as well as eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (if applicable to role).  Benefits offered for permanent roles include a competitive Flex Benefits & Retirement Savings Program, 4 weeks’ paid vacation, and annual Personal Days.
