This role entails close collaboration with customers, research partners, and internal teams to ensure adherence to best clinical practices and the safe, effective utilisation of OrganOx products.</p><p>Reporting directly to the Director of Clinical Science &amp; Innovation the position will serve as a subject matter expert within the R&amp;D and engineering team as well as extend their expertise to core teams such as Commercial and Quality departments.</p><p>This position requires global travel, with a focus on the UK, Europe, and US. The role includes work during unsociable hours, which may involve night shifts and extended working days.</p><p>This is an on-site position in Oxford.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Major Responsibilities </strong></p><p>Under direction from the Director, Clinical Science &amp; Innovation the Perfusion Specialist will be responsible for:</p><p><strong>Engineering Support</strong></p><ul><li>Support proof-of-concept reviews, including goal definition and objective setting.</li><li>Undertake background research including literature review and analysis.</li><li>Assist in writing research proposals and conducting research experiments.</li><li>Report findings from research activities to the Engineering team.</li><li>Represent OrganOx at national and international meetings to maintain currency with research topics and trends.</li></ul><p><strong>Subject Matter Expertise</strong></p><ul><li>Share knowledge, experience and best clinical practice of OrganOx and allied healthcare products with teams across business units including Commercial and Quality.</li><li>Provide technical expertise and escalation support for complex clinical and technical queries.</li><li>Provide Quality support for quarantine and complaint analysis reporting.</li><li>Support Field Clinical Specialists to ensure consistent product knowledge and application globally.</li><li>Adhere to the letter and spirit of OrganOx’s Code of Conduct and all other company policies</li></ul> <p><strong>Skills &amp; Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Significant experience as a Clinical Perfusionist</li><li>Experience with extracorporeal circulation and/or organ perfusion technology</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills</li><li>Ability to work effectively with customers and healthcare professionals</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Computer literate and familiar with Word, Excel and PowerPoint</li><li>Full driver's license (desirable)</li><li>Experience in a medical device or healthcare industry setting (desirable)</li><li>Experience with normothermic machine perfusion (desirable)</li><li>Research experience or involvement in clinical studies (desirable)</li><li>Experience in customer training and education (desirable)</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Qualifications </strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Science, Health) with significant relevant experience</li><li>Certified Clinical Perfusionist or equivalent clinical qualification is highly desirable</li></ul> <p>At OrganOx, we value innovation, evidence, integrity, teamwork, respect, and passion.
