Job Description
ROLE: MSAT Data Product Lead
LOCATION: Bengaluru
OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE:
Translate MSAT business and scientific requirements into scalable data products
Develop MSAT data products using GSQ NorthStar tools & platforms
Manage, govern MSAT data products in alignment with SAFe principles and agile delivery practices
Define end-user, and data requirements to enable scale and value for MSAT.
Monitor digital adoption and foster community of practices for data products in MSAT
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Translate scientific requirements into data product requirements for MSAT
Develop, deploy and maintain MSAT data products incl. scientific dashboards such as process capability, CPV dashboards, predictive failure rates
Manage the lifecycle of data products from requirements to continuous improvement.
Partner with DD&T, ICC and relevant MSAT teams to deliver complex data products
Orchestrate data models (taxonomy requirements) for MSAT data products.
Ensure data products are reliable, compliant, and aligned with enterprise data standards.
Use AGILE ways of working (SAFe, Jira) to deliver MSAT data products at scale
DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS
Technical/Functional Expertise :
Extensive experience with data product development and AGILE frameworks (SAFe, Jira)
Deep Knowledge in Databricks, and web-based apps like Streamlit, Plotly, etc
Good Understanding of MSAT processes, manufacturing and QC data.
Knowledge of data modeling, taxonomies in Databricks and data historians
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Leadership
Champion a culture where every MSAT datapoint is accessible to anyone, anytime
Support to drive digital adoption by leading change, enabling teams through training, and inspiring the use of data products.
Mentor others on CMC data practices
Decision-making and Autonomy
Define CMC data product standards, maintenance strategies, and tool utilization within NorthStar
Lead decisions on data model enhancements and taxonomy governance
Conduct root-cause analysis and troubleshooting while effectively coordinating and delegating tasks to ICC
Interaction:
Build and strengthen data relationships across MSAT modalities and partner functions (R&D Pharmaceutical Sciences) to align on global standards and shared data products
Interface with DD&T ICC, CMC and Process Science across modalities to define business requirements, data requirements, governance requirements
Innovation
Anticipate and respond to shifts in technology and industry trends to position Takeda at the forefront of digital and model-based manufacturing.
Complexity
Collaborate across multiple NorthStar tools and platforms to enable integrated data solutions
Balance global standards with local business and operational needs
Adapt effectively to evolving CMC data landscapes and changing business requirements
EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Education / Experience:
Advanced degree (Master’s or higher) in STEM, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with expertise in CMC and/or MSAT
Strong hands-on experience with Databricks and web-based application development platforms such as Streamlit, Plotly, etc.
Proven track record of delivering data products using the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodology
Extensive experience managing and maintaining data products within GxP-regulated environments
Demonstrated ability to deliver impactful solutions and drive collaboration within complex matrix organizations.
