The Mold Attendant is responsible for the efficient and safe operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of injection molds within the manufacturing facility, ensuring high-quality product output.
Job Responsibilities:
* Monitor and operate injection molding machines and ancillary equipment according to established procedures.
* Perform routine mold changes, setups, and adjustments to optimize production.
* Conduct visual inspections of molded parts for defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
* Clean and maintain molds, tools, and work areas to prevent contamination and ensure smooth operation.
* Load raw materials into hoppers and ensure proper material handling.
* Troubleshoot basic mold and machine issues, escalating complex problems to maintenance or engineering.
* Document production activities, including mold changes, downtime, and quality checks.
* Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
* Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to achieve operational goals.
Job Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with injection molding or similar equipment.
* Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects.
* Ability to read and understand technical instructions and safety guidelines.
* Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
* Willingness to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
