General Description:
The Medical Manager, Solid Tumor is responsible for the local medical execution of tislelizumab in Malaysia. The role supports scientific exchange, medical education, and coordination of locally relevant evidence generation.
The role focuses on priority solid tumor indications, including NPC and NSCLC, while supporting additional indications as they are introduced. Working closely with the Medical Director, the Medical Manager translates medical strategy into consistent, high-quality, and compliant execution.
Essential Functions of the job:
1. Product and Indication Ownership
Act as the primary local medical owner for tislelizumab.
Develop and maintain strong scientific knowledge across priority solid tumor indications, with emphasis on NPC and NSCLC.
Ensure consistency of medical messaging across indications, sectors (public and private), and engagement formats.
Support scientific readiness for upcoming indications.
2. Scientific Exchange and KOL Engagement
Conduct scientific exchange with oncologists and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
Plan and execute advisory boards, scientific meetings, and peer-to-peer discussions.
Ensure discussions are clinically relevant and appropriate to the Malaysian context.
Collect and summarize medical insights from the field to inform planning.
3. Medical Education
Plan and deliver medical education activities aligned with the local Medical Plan.
Identify and support local faculty for CME programs, symposia, and training sessions.
Ensure medical education activities are balanced, evidence-based, and compliant.
4. RWE and Evidence Coordination
Identify local evidence gaps relevant to clinical practice, access, and policy discussions.
Support development of local RWE and HEOR study concepts.
Coordinate with investigators, vendors, and regional teams to support study execution and track progress.
Ensure outputs remain aligned with Malaysian healthcare system needs.
5. Medical Content Review and Governance
Review and approve local medical materials used in scientific engagements.
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and appropriate use of data across all channels.
Provide medical input for content used in face-to-face and digital settings.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with MSLs, commercial, access, and regional teams to support aligned execution.
Provide timely medical input while maintaining scientific and compliance standards.
Qualification Required:
Education Required:
Medical degree (MBBS/MD), pharmacy degree (BPharm/PharmD), or postgraduate degree (Master’s or PhD) in a relevant life sciences discipline
Other Qualifications:
3–6 years of experience in Medical Affairs, preferably in oncology
Experience in solid tumors
Comfortable working in a focused, evolving affiliate environment
Preferred
Immuno-oncology experience (PD-1 / PD-L1)
Experience engaging public-sector stakeholders in Malaysia
Exposure to RWE or HEOR-related medical projects
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, basic Excel); Comfortable with virtual meeting platforms (e.g. Zoom, MS Teams); Able to review and work with medical publications, slide decks, and summary data; Familiarity with Medical Affairs CRM systems (e.g. Veeva) is an advantage
Travel: Regular in-country travel within Malaysia (approximately 25–40%); Occasional regional travel for meetings or training
