<p style="text-align:left"><b>Job Description</b></p><p>Vertex Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Marketing Intern to join the Iberia Marketing team at a defining moment: the imminent launch of an innovative new therapy for Cystic Fibrosis (CF), a rare and life-limiting genetic disease.</p><p></p><p>This is not a standard internship. You will be embedded in a high-performing, cross-functional team operating at the intersection of science, strategy, and patient impact. From day one, you will contribute to real projects — helping shape how a transformative treatment reaches the patients and healthcare professionals who need it most.</p><p></p><p>As part of the Vertex Internship Programme, you will work closely with the Marketing team and collaborate across Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Sales — gaining a comprehensive view of how pharmaceutical brands are built and launched in a highly specialized rare disease environment.</p><p></p><div><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p></div><p>You will play an active role across several critical workstreams:</p><p></p><p><b>Launch Execution & Marketing Strategy</b></p><ul><li>Support the development and implementation of the Iberia marketing operational plan aligned with launch objectives.</li><li>Contribute to the preparation and coordination of promotional, educational, and scientific materials, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Assist in tracking marketing activities and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure impact and progress against launch goals.</li></ul><p><b>Cross-Functional Collaboration</b></p><ul><li>Work alongside Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Sales teams to ensure strategic alignment across all commercial activities.</li><li>Assist in the organization and coordination of medical education activities, events, and congresses in collaboration with cross-functional partners.</li><li>Support the preparation of presentations, internal communication documents, and stakeholder materials.</li></ul><p><b>Project & Agency Management</b></p><ul><li>Assist in the coordination and follow-up of marketing projects involving internal stakeholders and external agencies.</li><li>Monitor project timelines and deliverables to ensure alignment with agreed deadlines and budgets.</li><li>Support vendor management activities related to marketing initiatives.</li></ul><p><b>Market Intelligence</b></p><ul><li>Contribute to market analysis and competitive intelligence activities to support strategic decision-making in the CF landscape.</li></ul><p></p><div><p><b>Qualifications</b></p></div><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.</li><li>Currently pursuing or planning to pursue a master’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.</li></ul><p></p><div><p><b>Skills & Experience</b></p></div><ul><li><b>Analytical & organizational skills:</b> Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.</li><li><b>Communication:</b> Excellent written and verbal skills in both English and Spanish.</li><li><b>Collaboration:</b> Comfortable working in cross-functional, fast-paced environments.</li><li><b>Entrepreneurial mindset:</b> Proactive, curious, and self-driven — you take initiative and learn quickly.</li><li><b>Digital proficiency:</b> Confident user of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).</li></ul><p></p><div><p><b>What This Internship Offers</b></p></div><p>Joining Vertex at this moment means more than gaining experience — it means being part of something meaningful.</p><p></p><ul><li>Front-row seat to a rare disease product launch: experience firsthand how strategy translates into patient impact.</li><li>Immersive cross-functional exposure across commercial, medical, and access teams — the full picture of a pharmaceutical brand.</li><li>Mentorship from experienced professionals with deep expertise in rare disease marketing.</li><li>Development of strategic thinking, project management, and analytical capabilities in a real-world, high-stakes environment.</li><li>The opportunity to contribute to therapies that genuinely change the lives of patients with Cystic Fibrosis.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>Program Details: </u></b></p><p></p><p>At Vertex, we believe that when you feel your best, you can perform at your best.
