This position works out of our Altavista, VA location in the Abbott Nutrition division. Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. What You’ll Work On
- Safely operate both complex and standard high-speed production equipment that makes our industry-leading nutrition products
- Maintain inventory of packaging materials
- Complete workorder documentation
- Perform quality checks
- Clean equipment and the production environment
- Troubleshoot equipment issues
You'll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
Shift
This is for the night shift. Example of shift:
Shift Hours: 6pm to 6:30 am, on a rotating basis.
Week One: Mon - On / Tues - On / Weds - Off / Thurs - Off / Fri - On / Sat - On / Sun - On
Week Two: Mon - Off / Tues - Off / Weds - On / Thurs - On / Fri - Off / Sat - Off / Sun - Off
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 months prior manufacturing experience
- Good written/verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, analytical troubleshooting skills and the ability to multitask
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for infant formula and nutritionals
- Experience with tools and equipment related to the position or experience as a Sr. Production Equipment Operator is desired
