We are seeking high achievers who want to be part of a dynamic team working in a fun, diverse atmosphere.</div> The Manufacturing Intern role provides hands-on exposure to core manufacturing engineering functions within a regulated production environment. This position supports process improvement, validation activities, tooling and fixture development, and manufacturing documentation.&nbsp;The intern will work closely with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, R&amp;D, and Operations to support efficient, compliant, and high-quality production. This role offers&nbsp;a practical&nbsp;learning experience that builds technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and an understanding of how engineering decisions impact manufacturing performance and product quality.&nbsp; In This Role, You Will:&nbsp; <ul> <li>Design and qualify (IQ/OQ/PQ) manufacturing fixtures, tools, and equipment.&nbsp;</li> <li>Support/oversee builds to provide&nbsp;product for&nbsp;testing of&nbsp;new designs.&nbsp;</li> <li>Identify&nbsp;and troubleshoot process-related issues.&nbsp;</li> <li>Prepare and&nbsp;maintain&nbsp;documentation associated with the manufacturing line and product development.&nbsp;</li> <li>Design and&nbsp;validate&nbsp;test methods, conduct testing, and&nbsp;write&nbsp;protocols/reports.&nbsp;</li> <li>Implement process improvement projects to improve product quality, decrease cost, and improve product performance.&nbsp;</li> <li>Work closely with R&amp;D, Quality, and other functional areas to design and develop processes.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ensure product quality and support regulatory compliance.&nbsp;</li> <li>Perform other duties as&nbsp;required.&nbsp;</li> </ul> Who You Will Report To: <ul> <li>Principal Manufacturing Engineer</li> </ul> Requirements: <ul> <li>Education:&nbsp;Recent graduate or current junior/senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related field&nbsp;</li> <li>Medical device internship experience desired&nbsp;</li> <li>Work location: Pleasanton, CA&nbsp;</li> <li>Travel: Minimal&nbsp;(~5%)&nbsp;</li> <li>Full time&nbsp;employment&nbsp;</li> <li>Proficiency&nbsp;in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office&nbsp;</li> <li>Strong attention to detail&nbsp;</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills&nbsp;</li> <li>Eagerness to learn and accept challenges&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities and adapt to change&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to solve problems and analyze data&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to think and work independently and in teams&nbsp;</li> <li>Compliance with relevant county, state, and Federal rules&nbsp;regarding&nbsp;vaccinations.&nbsp;</li> </ul> What We Offer: At Calyxo, you will be part of a knowledgeable, high-achieving, experienced and fun team.&nbsp; You will work in a diverse work environment with experienced, proven leaders and have an opportunity to shape our company culture.&nbsp; You will experience constant learning and dynamic challenges to help you grow and be the best version of yourself.&nbsp; We also offer a compensation plan as follows: <ul> <li>Competitive hourly rate of $28/hr (undergrad) - $30.00/hr (graduate students)</li> </ul> Application close date: March 9, 2026 <div class="content-conclusion">Calyxo is deeply committed to fostering an environment where diversity and inclusion are not only&nbsp;valued but also&nbsp;prioritized.
