Coordinates schedules and workflow for the team who repairs and conducts preventative maintenance activities throughout the facility on production equipment and peripheral devices. Supervises day-to-day work of maintenance employees. Manage vendor relationships and support Facilities Department as needed. Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations.<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><b><i>Duties/ Responsibilities:</i></b></p><ul><li>Oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.</li><li>Evaluates production equipment or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.</li><li>Assesses production equipment to plan work assignments and project schedules.</li><li>Develop maintenance procedures and schedules as necessary.</li><li>Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.</li><li>Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.</li><li>Develops and maintains preventative maintenance schedule in collaboration with operations staff.</li><li>Develops and maintains critical spare parts lists and inventory levels of those parts to avoid unscheduled downtime.</li><li>Tracks all maintenance activities through the maintenance management program.</li><li>Support the implementation and generation of Capital Expense requests by the use of maintenance data.</li><li>Sustain equipment documentation including electrical and mechanical systems. Ensure updates are made to keep all documents current.</li></ul><p><b><i>Managerial Responsibilities:</i></b></p><ul><li>Hires and trains maintenance department staff.</li><li>Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of maintenance staff.</li><li>Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.</li><li>Helps to develop, coach and train staff.</li><li>Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.</li><li>Ensures that there is 24/7 maintenance coverage of operations within the facility.</li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned.</li></ul><h2><b>EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS</b></h2><p><b><i>Education and Experience:</i></b></p><ul><li>Engineering degree preferred or 10 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor. Electrical engineering preferred.</li><li>At least 5 years managing employees is required.</li><li>5 years’ experience programing and supervising PLC and motor drive systems</li></ul><p><b><i>Required Skills/Abilities:</i></b></p><ul><li>Extensive knowledge of large manufacturing equipment.</li><li>Extensive knowledge of Facility related systems.</li><li>Wire &amp; Cable experience a plus.</li><li>Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.</li><li>Knowledge and understanding of PLC’s and large Hp AC and DC drives and motors</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.</li><li>Ability to plan maintenance schedules for production systems.</li><li>Excellent management and supervisory skills.</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.</li><li>Experience with 2D &amp; 3D CAD a plus</li><li>Project Management experience</li></ul><p></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><span>Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, <span>candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes</span> as permitted or required by applicable law</span>.</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left">We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
