Responsibilities:<div><div><ul><li>Monitors/updates the SAP system. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Detects defective materials or questionable conditions and make corrective recommendations to the department supervisor. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Safety Committee duties to include attendance to monthly meetings and responsible for safety-related action items. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Maintains building management system/computerized maintenance management system. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ensures facility lighting is maintained properly. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ensures consistent inspections are completed to remain in compliance with Environmental Health and Safety SOP’s. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Leads facility-related special projects and capital budget requests. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>On Call requirements are associated with this position. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>May need to work off shift and/or weekends. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Other duties and responsibilities that may be directed by management depending on work priorities. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Understands that after safety the operation is top priority and our goal is to minimize downtime. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Manages Maintenance Supervisors, Maintenance Technicians, Sanitation, and Battery Changer associates, if applicable at your location. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP’s. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ensures departmental procedures, SOP’s and work instructions are updated and training provided to associates as required. Ensure all associates follow C2C training guidelines. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Evaluates employee performance, prepares performance appraisals, prepares and maintains specified work records and reports. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Plans work schedules and assigns duties to maintain adequate staffing levels; ensures activities are performed effectively and is able to manage fluctuating workloads. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Recommends or initiates personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures; resolves personnel problems and complaints or refers them to higher-level management for resolution. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ensures fire protection equipment and facility programs and planning for fire and safety are maintained. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Manages relationships with network facility vendors, and strategically sources for future vendors. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Needs to be capable of working a flexible shift and weekends as business requirements demand. </li></ul></div></div><div><div>Education and Experience: </div></div><div><div><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree, preferred; or </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Associates Degree or technical school certificate, and 4+ years related experience; or </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED, and 6+ years related experience, required. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>4+ years supervisory experience, required. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Hands on trade experience, welding, PLC, electrical wiring and demonstrated machine shop proficiency, required. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Some P/L experience, required. </li></ul></div></div><div><div>Knowledge and Skills: </div></div><div><div><ul><li>Strong expertise in electrical controls and operation of electrical measuring devices. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Proven understanding of current trade related regulations and practices. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and controls, conveyors, and material handling equipment. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Proficient in operating and working on all MHE equipment. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop coordinated, creative solutions. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Strong social skills and the ability to effectively connect with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a multifaceted community. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Sophisticated analytical, evaluative, and objective critical thinking skills. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Required to understand mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic drawings. </li></ul></div><div><ul><li>Must be able to recommend appropriate repair strategy. </li></ul></div></div><div><div>Physical Demands: (if applicable) </div></div><div><div>The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Associate must have normal field of vision corrected to 20/40 in each eye and must have hearing sufficient to safely operate MHE [Material Handling Equipment] in a manufacturing/distribution environment. </div></div><div><div>Work Environment: (if applicable) </div></div><div><div>The noise level is moderate to loud. There will almost always be exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment, exposure to precarious situations and potential temperature excursions.
