Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor & Maintenance: Monitor & Maintenance of the performance of building management systems and energy management system, including HVAC, Electrical Systems, FAS, Access Control System, EMS, lighting, security- CCTV, and other integrated systems. Support Sustainability initiatives and the company’s net zero carbon objectives with new technologies and energy saving projects.
Operational Management:
System Monitoring: Continuously monitor the performance of building systems using BMS software to ensure all systems are operating as expected.
Energy Efficiency: Analyse and optimize the energy consumption of the building systems to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose issues with BMS components and systems and take corrective actions to resolve them quickly.
Data Analysis: Collect and analyse data from BMS sensors and devices to monitor system performance, efficiency, and safety levels.
Operation area: overseeing, maintaining, and optimizing the operation of building automation systems. These systems typically include HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), lighting, security, fire safety, and energy management systems. BMS engineers ensure that all these systems are functioning properly and efficiently within a building.
Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize system performance, reduce energy consumption, and lower operating costs along with maintenance, repairs, to ensure a safe, productive working environment.
Vendor and Contract Management: Manage relationships, contracts, Invoicing and service level agreements (SLAs) with external vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
Maintenance: Attend breakdown maintenance, perform routine preventive maintenance on BMS systems and allied integrated system, ensuring that all equipment’s, systems and sensors are operating properly.
Calibration and Testing: Calibrate sensors and test system components to ensure accuracy and functionality.
Repairs: Identify and repair faulty systems, components, or devices within the BMS setup and integrated services. Software Updates: Keep BMS software up to date by installing patches, updates, and upgrades as required
Document Control: Manage records, files, and reports, ensuring accurate documentation.
Qualifications & Skills -
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications in BMS field.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of working experience in building management systems (Trend, Schneider, Honeywell) with significant proven experience
Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Technical: Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), building automation systems (BAS), and other related software applications, In-depth knowledge of building management systems, including HVAC, lighting, fire and life safety, security, and energy management systems. A knowledge of net zero carbon and energy saving technology is advantageous.
