DESCRIPTION:
Manage logistics operations ensuring effective product movement and customer satisfaction across Thermo Fisher Scientific's network. Oversee daily warehouse operations, import/export activities, and 3PL relationships while maintaining compliance with quality standards and regulations. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and reduce costs. Work collaboratively with sales, procurement, and customer service teams to meet business objectives and maintain high service levels.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience in logistics operations management, preferably in pharmaceutical, medical device, or regulated industries
• Preferred Fields of Study: Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
• Experience leading teams of 5-10 direct reports
• Expert knowledge of GMP, GDP, and international trade regulations
• Strong understanding of import/export procedures and customs compliance requirements
• Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities with focus on process improvement
• Excellent project management and collaborative skills
• Strong communication abilities in English, both written and verbal
• Experience with temperature-controlled supply chains and cold chain management
• Knowledge of lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices
• Demonstrated success implementing operational efficiency initiatives
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-oriented environment
• Experience with quality management systems and regulatory compliance
• Strong focus on safety and adherence to standard operating procedures
