As a member of the Ascendis Pharma team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring scalable and secure solutions and aligning with architectural standards and setting the strategic direction. You will work closely with internal product teams, product owners, and external operation partners to deliver high-quality platforms and services  This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional, global teams working together to achieve extraordinary results. You will be joining the Infrastructure & SmartOffice team, and report directly to Jakob Monajemzadeh Thrane, People Leader in Global IT based in Hellerup. You will also be based in Hellerup.  Your key responsibilities will be: <ul><li>Contribute to day‑to‑day engineering and operational activities while shaping long‑term architectural direction.</li></ul><ul><li>Act as subject matter expert (SME) across Microsoft hybrid infrastructure platform,  virtualization, storage and network.</li><li>Lead and participate in deployment, configuration, operations, and troubleshooting of infrastructure solutions across on‑premises and cloud platforms. </li><li>Provide guidance and support for complex incident resolution, root cause analysis, and performance optimization. </li><li>Drive technical assessments, proofs of concept (PoCs), modernization initiatives, and platform upgrade strategies. </li></ul> Qualifications and Skills: You hold a relevant academic degree, preferable a master's degree, with +5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably from a regulated industry. Experience from a fast‑growing organization and experience with agile or product‑oriented methodologies will be considered an advantage. Furthermore, you have: <ul><li>Strong understanding of virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper V).  </li></ul><ul><li>Solid experience with enterprise storage (SAN/NAS), data protection, and DR solutions.  </li></ul><ul><li>Strong foundation in networking: TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, firewalls, load balancing.  </li></ul><ul><li>Deep experience in Microsoft infrastructure platforms (AD DS, Windows Server, Azure AD).  </li><li>Hands‑on experience designing, deploying, operating, and optimizing hybrid cloud environments (on‑premises + Azure). </li></ul><ul><li>Experience with Infrastructure as Code for automated and consistent deployment of infrastructure is a plus. </li></ul> Key competencies: You are a strong team player, analytical, and have a can-do attitude.  You possess an entrepreneurial mindset and can thrive in an informal, open environment where innovation and change are key.  In Global IT, we operate as self‑organizing teams where shared ownership is fundamental to our success.
