Job description:
Testing development prototypes of electron microscopes and their components, including hands-on work with advanced prototype systems and supporting the validation of new technologies
Measuring physical characteristics in the field of electron optics and vacuum systems, combined with operating electron microscopes and conducting experimental measurements
Preparation of experimental setups, evaluation and presentation of measured data, including data processing and basic simulations
Automation of experiments using scripting (e.g., Python, Julia, Matlab) and applying structured, algorithmic thinking to problem-solving
Optimization of electron column (tube) settings and parameters
Collaboration on research and development projects within an international high-tech environment
Requirements:
University or PhD student in Physics, Physical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
General technical overview, knowledge in applied physics and mathematics, and interest in both theoretical and practical aspects of electron optics and microscopy systems
Knowledge of scripting/programming (Python, Julia, Matlab)
Good command of English (spoken and written)
Proactive and creative approach to problem-solving, attention to detail, and responsibility
Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week for one year
