Join GE Precision Healthcare LLC as an Inter/Co-op Advanced Manufacturing Engineer. - Assist in the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes for medical devices and components.
- Support the implementation of new equipment, tooling, and automation solutions on the production floor.
- Conduct process capability studies, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement in manufacturing yields and quality.
- Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities related to manufacturing issues.
- Contribute to the creation and revision of manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality, and Production, to ensure successful product launches and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform time studies and lean manufacturing analyses to identify and eliminate waste in production processes.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of new manufacturing technologies and materials.
- Support the validation of manufacturing processes and equipment.
Job Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong academic record.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, welding, or additive manufacturing.
- Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping) is a plus.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) is preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and contribute.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
